[TI] NPCs don't attack me

  1. Hi,
    I have killed many NPCs. I lure them to a jump gate, then I circle around them. Sometimes they stop attacking me (?!) until I lure them out of the gate/ they are low and flee. Should I consequently attack dangerously NPC's outside the jump gate to be not reported for bug using?!

    The NPC's will not attack you in the demil zone area. So if you are dragging them to that area generally they will not attach you in that area unless you are actually shooting them.

  5. A little hard to understand the issue here cause this kid didn't explain anything. First off, NPC's always run when low on hp. Second, if you stay out of range of an npc, you can shoot and not get hit. 3rd, there's a little bug where npcs sometimes stop shooting, we called it parking, honestly, its random to get but everyone gets it.
     
    1. I lure the NPC to the jump gate
    2. I don't stop attack.
    3. The NPC stops attacking me.
    4. NPC only attacks, if they are low.

    Ok, thanks, I thought this bug was fixed.

    Ok, my bad for the misunderstanding.. I will have this tested.. please note that "Parking" NPC's is considered an in game glitch.
    I will pass this on to have further testing done.

    I appreciate you letting us know that this has again resurfaced in the game.

  7. It's not exactly a glitch, it's a bug, you can't do steps to park an npc, it just happens, and considering all the glitches abused in this game with no punishment, don't think anyone is gonna get punished for a bug DO has yet to figure out and fix that makes it so a bk wont shoot them XD
     
  8. During the Pumpkin festival a Boss Lordakium didn't attack me in the tunnel of terror,
    2 days ago a EDIT Ice Meteorid did do the same in the winter gate.

    There are no Boss Kristalollon in the winter gate just icys, ice metoioroids, super icemetoioroids and a skoll, If you circle them and just keep out there range you can kill with them with out getting much damage unless you get to close it appears some times there not shooting untill you get in there range then bam lots of damage.
     
  10. I didn't circle this meteoroid, it only fly in its attack range and then do nothing/didn't shoot at me. Even when I stay over it, it did do nothing.
    I only saw that when I've got laggs, but it's another thing.
     
  11. Don't see why you need to complain about a bug that's been around from years, and benefits you. At times, NPCs will stop shooting, it's called "Parking" although you can't do it on your own, it happens, and we all gladly accept it, clearly not you though.

  13. First off, SHHHH don't tell them about it ;). But this is not a bug or a issue, it's just that the aliens can sort of "Lose ur lock" if you circle them right. You have to circle them in a way that they stay stationary while ur still out of range of them. When you get them to be stationary, you can generally go in and not get shot till the death run. Hope this helps :)

  14. You actually can make them "Park" as you put it. circle them till they stay in one spot. then you have a good chance of sitting next to them whilst not being shot at :)

  15. No bug abuse is doing it on purpose, if it just happens, it's not your problem, it's DOs.
    That's still a chance for it to happen, and a lot of people circle npcs, so it's nor forcing it to park.
     
  16. It's all about how you circle the alien. you have to do it in a way that it stops moving and is not in range of you.

    Is it permitted to "test" this? If it's work, what I should do then?
    Some months ago some players complain about "bug users" who are too weak for e.g. killing a BK, but they could do this because they "park". But of course they couldn't explain it, because they will be banned, if they publish it in the forum. A moderator asks for a list of the steps (even the support doesn't know this bug) for parking, I think nobody answered him.
    I hope they lied.

    Thank you all for your in put into this is thread.

    1. The Icy's not attacking in the tunnel of terror.

    This issue was realized approx 8-10 hours after the gate had been opened. The gate was looked at and the non attacking icy was repaired.

    2. Parking NPC's

    This is a game glitch and many players are aware of how to do this... however the terms of condition do state:
    1.2.10 The use of programming bugs and/or errors to achieve personal gain is strictly prohibited. Recognized bugs should be reported as quickly as possible in the bug forum, by IRC or by e-mail.

    Please know that I am aware that there are players that are parking npc's... I merely offering a warning so that you do not get in trouble in the event of an investigation.
