This has to be the worst day in DO history. My graphics look like a 5 year old programed it. Why don't you just leave things alone if you don't know what you are doing

 

I won't repeat what I said when I logged-in a few minutes ago, and saw the god-awful graphics...
For a moment, I thought my graphics card was on the skitz.
After a quick look in Settings on the game screen, I found a little check-box "Turn Game Into Retro Mode."
Uncheck that box, and all will be well. (Why isn't this box unchecked by default?)

I want to know where the notification of the change was? Nothing in the forums telling us of it, nothing in the company NEWS about it, unless a person checks their settings you would have no idea what was going on.

 

Its what Okapi referred to in the UnOfficial thread. Also, remember, nothing is announced ahead of time.

 

It is a April 1st release as the information is on both of my servers now. Since the day has rolled over to the 1st, it is in the Company News section of the Back Page Main page. You need to either unmark the Retro box (bottom left of the Advanced in display) if using the 3D engine or have to adjust the display every time you log in.

 

Aprils fools joke....love you too bigpoint. lolz

 

It is not just the 3D platform it is affecting the 2D platform also.

 

hows DO going to stop people logging in seeing a mess on there screen and logging of in disgust and logging back on in 3-5 days to the same mess??

Do people seriously not get its an April fools thing?
Theres a button in settings to turn if off if youre not happy, they do a stupid idea every year

I was actually luckier as the forums had already started seeing the postings off other servers before mine got affected. However, reading the News and the HQ Release (which has finally been posted) it looks like it might be here for the long term. And seems to just need an initial adjustment to clear it up.

 

Do they have to post OA saying... 'please ignore the following as it is just a Fools joke'? ...
I have already said that if this is more than 1st April I will also ask questions... wait ppl and see (24hours maybe?) ...
there appears to be a logical explanation and getting your BloodPressure up for this seems silly... Tomorrow is a new day

WOW I totally forgot about April fools day. HA HA. well , you got me good
Yet on Opera, it wouldn't even load the space map in order for me to find that check box. I ended up re-installing Flashplayer for Opera and thought that was the fix. Regardless its all good now . I'll have to keep this in mind for next year.
