I think my pet got a pet bug...support is not helping always reply me with a LAG,PING issue...but it's not i did lots of test .

my pet collecting speed is suck..always giving a way to any other pet surround him no matter what ship i use...if any one will reply me with a lag issue please don't . i have create an account and use 2 laptop connected with a wire connection...support is not helping me they just explain about lag issue and i know it's not ...


i need some help about this please ...i need a doctor LOL

 

Its a common problem. Your pet is just too kind. Mine is too, always letting the other pet take it. What I do is change it to passive and then start it collecting again. If it is moving with other pets, your not going to win. Keep in mind that pets are also stupid. They will take off to pick up something off screen when you have a box right next to you,, but then again, maybe the pet assumes you will get that one.

 

that's my point.and i think support did not understand what want to say....so there is no way support or mod can help me ?
so this is normal ? whats the point of using fast ship lol ...

 

It's probably just your perception of things. Almost everyone thinks their pet is worse at collecting boxes than everyone else's. It's much easier to remember the times your pet failed to pick up things and another pet got it because it's much more annoying, especially when there are a few pets in your vicinity.

If you have actually done something like recorded some every time your pet and another pet got for a box / palladium and your pet consistently loses out, then I know you've decided its not lag ... but it probably is. You can do as many tests as you want but ping / latency is not a consistent thing, it can go up and down rapidly. If you also do a ping test online it does not accurately represent the ping you will be getting to BP servers.

Personally thought I would say it's more likely to be your perception of things since as I said, it really is much easier for people to remember every time they pet fails to get a box rather than all the times it's successful.

I know what you are saying maybe some pets are better than others, in my case my pet is also dumb.

Maybe Dark Orbit should come up with a discrimination Protocol for pet like picking up Bonus boxes, or cargo boxes. This I have took note, pet takes a bit to distinguish what it is picking up, the Pet will hovers over a box for a bit, trying to determine what it is picking up.

A Protocol that tells the pet what to pick up.... Bonus boxes, Or Cargo Boxes. I think this is where the pet is getting confused, the pet trying to distinguish whether it is a cargo box or a bonus box, by adding this new protocol would tell the pet what it's going to pick up instead of the pet trying to figure it out for itself ja ja ja

 

I know that the PET can be frustrating, however there are a few variables that can make another players pet a bit more effective when collecting boxes. Please know that the PET will only move as fast as the ship you are flying. If you are not using full speed or a lower level speed generator, this will effect the PETs speed.

Another thing to think about is the salvage protocols. If you are not using these, or are using a level 1 or 2 this will effect the PET as well. It may only effect the distance the PET is moving away from you... but will give the perception that the PET is moving slower and allowing other PET's to collect the boxes faster.

Astrean tnx ...but still thats not the real issue here. its not about speed ...cuz im on pusat on my test vs citadel. same bandwidth same computer same operating system freshly formated ... : ) all are the same should a citadel win vs pusat ? in collecting something my pusat pet is lvl 15 and the citadel got lvl 8 pet..that not LAG issue or speed or whatever idk what is happening .

 

I do understand what your are describing, however I think that the issue you are experience has more to do with the protocols you do or do not have on your PET. If your PET stays close you and does not move as fast or as far as you think it should to retrieve a box. Please try adding some salvage protocols and see the difference. Please also remember that game latency does play a small part in how your PET functions verse possibly another players.

I know this is not what you want to hear... but at this time is the best I can offer.

i did buy 10 salvage on my pet lvl 3 all..no diff. my pet never win whatever ship i'm on to, in palladium field this is not normal . my pet never wins..vs low level pet , low speed ship , idle ship , (The resources are already being gathered.) this is not about the latency this about AI thing . i think i got high ping and internet speed.

thats why im telling u guys i did all the test with having two . diff account having two the same internet speed or latency ..(citadel/level 9 pet vs pusat/level 15 pet)
in palladium Field. and the result is ,my pusat always lost ..

explain to me why ? even tho im using two account with the same isp ...?????? my pusat pet got all the level 3 protocol just named it i have it ...and my citadel doesn't have any of those .

 

just because you get a good score on a speed test doesn't mean you shouldn't lag. There are so many things that can slow you down on one web page and not another even different browsers can act different on the same page

Have you cleaned your temp folder, cleared cache ECT. you know the list but its easy to miss one aspect and that really be the problem no matter what your speed is if you hiccup 1/10 of a second every time your pet locates a pally piece that gives the other pet the advantage 1/10 of a sec is not noticeable in game but will slow you down on a competition with a clean connection racing you for each piece.
