    The Hard Gate for the most recent event is gone but I still have the mission incomplete. I already had the first wave done and two lives left. Is there some kind of bug or was it meant to happen?

    The gate for that even was only available for a limited time. If you did not finish the gate before the end of the event, it is no longer available.

    All you can do is cancel the quest.
