[TI] Quick Key Bar Malfunction

Okay so a friend (HelpMeHelpYou) has fought with this issue for 3 months and got nowhere with resolving it. I yesterday encountered the same issue and am very upset about it.

Issue is we are "PREMIUM" players with both Quick Slot Bars, he originally had trouble with the second (premium) bar not working from the keyboard (F1-F11 keys) which progressed to both bars not working. We have reset all items mentioned in FAQ's to improve game play (clear cache, clear flash, etc) and have failed to have problem corrected, does not seem to matter which browser we use either (Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome). And did not matter which computer was used (I logged in on his and he logged in on mine and problem transferred with account). Messages to SUPPORT and response is problem is fixed (he logged in played fro 3 hours jumped from 1-3 to 1-2 and back to 1-3 and problem recurred) but it is not. Asking persons in chat they have given work arounds for activating a fight but this does not fix the issue of being able to use MOUSE and KEYBOARD in an Ofensive/Defensive battle.

As we do not want to create several "Tickets" for our individual accounts and have not received response from most recent "Ticket" (October 29th), I have chosen to appeal to the Forums to see if someone else has encountered this problem and what they did to fix it. I hate to think I am going to have to play this game using the MOUSE only to select ammo used, I might as well just sit there and wait to be blasted to base.

Can anyone shed some light on what the issue is?

 

Thank you Hades as I have reached my wits end trying to deal with this issue. I have gone as far as to request a refund of monies spent on the game and I will QUIT as I am tired of fighting this issue all the time. I like the fact that all through the forums they are talking about improving the game to make it appealing to get and keep NEW players and yet I am one of those NEW players that chose to spend a little money to catch up with those that got me involved and I seem to have wasted my money as I am not able to have the same experience as others playing using the same equipment. Hopefully, this can be resolved before I have to pull the plug like so many others have.

 

As I like the way Chrome plays I went as far as to UNLOAD and Re Install it and still have the issue so any help would be nice. AGAIN SUPPORT has still not responded to the 3 messages (original Ticket request and 2 emails from the Ticket generation message) even though they say they will respond in 24 hours or less, guess they meant 24 days or less.

 

Just go to settings, and reset your key bindings; that's what I did when this issue sprung up, lmao.

 

Okay since I have encountered the same thing how do you do this? I went to settings and the keyboard tab and set every quick bar selector and it still did not fix my problem. I see at the bottom of the interface tab a bindings for Pro Action but I am not using the Pro Action buttons.

I have played off and on since April 2011 and have never encountered this issue before, and I am glad you find this amusing instead of giving us the assistance we are asking for.

 

going to sound like a stupid question but once you reset all the quick key bars in settings did you hit save before you exited might be the issue

 

Well lets say this I just went and CHANGED every input key AND SAVED after every change and my PREMIUM slots seem to work on either the F keys or the number keys. The 1-0 keys I had changed to Num Lok numbers for trial and the F keys to 1-0. after saving these changes I was still unable to change ammo to commence a fight. I changed back to default saving after every change instead of after all changes had been made and I end up with both sets of keys controlling the Premium bar and nothing controlling the regular bar.

I am so frustrated.

 

Okay so after fighting with this so long and not getting any help. I hit the RESET and started over. This fixed the problem with the 1-0 bar and I can use the "F1" to "F11" keys again. Why could someone not tell me to do this 3 months ago? Well guys try the RESET (bottom right of "Settings" tab in the map), This will log you out and then you are going to be asked if you want the glitchy 3D version or click under it for the 2D, then make your modifications so everything you want is set again, but it did solve the problem for me.

Okay so EVERYTHING FAILED except what HelpMeHelpYou said he did. IT TOOK a "RESET" button push to FIX the problem. As this seems to be an ongoing issue (comes and goes at will) can someone create a POST for the FAQ's so a person can get assistance without fighting it for 3 months. I posted this as I had been trying to help my FRIEND enjoy the game and felt bad I had got him involved in a game and could not get answers for him from my knowledge and attempts to assist him. Why SUPPORT could not help with resolving this is beyond me. The fact it has happened to 3 people in the same group of Real Life Friend's is very suspicious to say the least but it is a game after all.

DogScout, HelpMeHelpYou, and Hades~Pôšëîdõn‡Tríp have all resolved the problem by doing a SETTINGS "RESET" as changing the bindings did nothing for us. We all 3 sat on a conference call trying everything we could to fix the issue and finally stumbled into the solution. The ORIGINAL problem that HelpMeHelpYou dealt with was when he got the FREE PREMIUM the keys did not auto populate and we had to assign them to get them to work but then when BOTH FAILED we were lost as everything looked good on the surface. Contact with SUPPORT told us the engineers had looked into the problem and thought the issue was resolved asking if HelpMeHelpYou was still having the issue but he had to respond he had not been playing as he was popping trying to attack things in the maps, but he logged in and found the problem had cleared up till he ran away from an attacker and jumped back into the map where the issue returned and we have not heard back from support, so I tried here and got told what we had seen was not a problem but attempted the fix as stated and it corrected some of the issue (as described by DogScout) but created more problems than it solved.

Thank you for the assistance and direction. As this has been resolved this can be closed but would really like to see a sticky in NEWBIES (at minimum) and a post to FAQ's (most desirable) so others doing research can possibly find the answer faster than we did.

You said to reset the key bindings and doing such did nothing. We had to do an entire SETTINGS RESET, not just the bindings. But anyways it is resolved.
