    Hello,

    Seeing as I worked my toosh off these past 2 weeks putting close to 90,000,000 honor Thought it would be nice if someone from the team could explain to me why I lost my chief colonel.

    As you can see MMO has the most Members of all 3 companies; in general all 3 are very close.

    Last night MMO and EIC both lost one of our Chief Colonels the only company that maintained 2 is VRU.

    How is that all 3 companies have the same number of players MMO actually having slightly more but this is the 2nd time i lose my chief colonel due to the system reducing the ranks.

    As your probably aware Chief Colonels is 0.1% of players in a company, 1 Chief Colonel per 1,000 players, so logic should say that each company should have 3 Chief Colonels, but they don't.

    The reason for this is sometime in 2010 or 2011, the rules of which accounts actually count towards the ranking system was changed, something to do with programs making thousands of accounts a day to lower the overall ranking (de1 server had 180,000 VRU members at one point).
    The new rule was that only accounts above lv2 actually count towards the ranking system.

    So I'm guessing DO update their "active player" numbers once in a while and re-evaluate how many of each rank there should be and it will just so have happened that MMO and EIC both dropped below the 2,000 'above lv2' number but VRU didn't so they kept both their Chief Colonels.

    Chief Colonels being as rare as Generals is a pretty common occurrence nowadays.

    That has to be one of the most logical and easily explanations I have ever seen for this issue :p

    Assuming you're correct someone must have gotten above level 2 last night because I now have a chief colonel again today =)

    No worries and congrats :p

    Don't be too surprised if the 2nd chief colonel comes and goes at random until the active company members stabilizes.

    Okapi32, Thank you for assisting this player with their issue.

    I know that they are very happy that you have set thier mind at ease.

    Unfortuantely the rank issue is not something that is easily fixed and is ever changing.
