  1. Pretty annoying to have my screen force zoomed in making it near impossible to see my surroundings.

I would ask have you tried, Ctrl (+) or Ctrl ( - ) to change the resolution visibility size of the screen.

Let me know if this helps to resolve your issue.
    Have a nice day

  3. Zoom in or out on the back screen to change your game resolution.

  4. This is DO currently at the farthest it allows.

This is DO before the drone nurf update

The resolution is a you problem not me, it has to do with the way you guys updated the game. And i'm not the only person with the issue.

    What is your screen resolution?
Mine is 1920x1080, I have noticed no change. Also have you tried it with the 2D client, is it zoomed in more than usual on there also?

When the 3D client was released it was a "fixed resolution" at what seemed to be 1920x1080, if you had a 720 screen then it would cram in the 1080 resolution, so the objects in the client wouldn't have looked as high quality but all users would be able to see the same distance.

Now it seems that it has been changed to the same way of doing resolution as the 2D client does (providing it hasn't changed for you as well). If we just imagine a full zoomed out ship is 400x200, then it will be that exact size across all resolutions now, so on a smaller screen the ship will take up a bigger proportion of space than on a bigger screen.
However on the previous 3D client if the ship was 400x200 on screen 1, but then screen 2 was 50% smaller the client image would be reduced to 200x100 so that everything was the same size relative to the native screen resolution.

Hope I managed to explain that clearly enough, fingers crossed there can be a work around without have to mess around with browser zoom levels to get back an option so people can have the "regular" zoom distance.

  6. my 2D is zoomed in more then it used to be as well, everything is far too close, and i can't play the game properly, i can't lock cloakers on the end of my range anymore because it's too far in, this is completely different from what i once had, it needs to be fixed. Or i can't play the game.

Also, i'm not gonna sit there playing with the normal browser zoom options has it distorts things on the game.

Okay so what is your screen resolution then?
Do you have any before and after images of the 2D client as well?

  8. Was just getting the res: 1366 x 768
Not up for scrolling through all my posts to find old pics to match up with.
The 3D version is much to close, it seems a bit closer then 2D to be honest. Either way, DO did an update, and players aren't satisfied, it should just be put back the way it was. I only played 3D because of the resolution, and so did a lot of others, no point in dealing with poor graphics if DO is going to destroy the resolution that made the game playable.

I can see it now on my end, Dream

  13. Yeah i see it now. And i see others with the issue in the forums. Would be nice if DO just admitted they screwed up our game resolutions, instead of treating us like we're 5 and don't know what scrolling in and out is.

I know more then enough how to zoom-out the actual browser. But then my entire client shrinks so much that it's uncomfortable.

  15. Just a thought but since you are having issues with zoom. Try using google canary browser. The zoom feature works in it allowing you to zoom back out. This will give you playing time and allow them time to fix the issue.

I have no problem with Chrome zoom, except the client window becomes very small.

  17. Yeah, the zoom for chrome just distorts things, not a fan of it.

We'll take a look at it when folks get in this morning.

The goal was to address several complaints with inconsistencies between the 2D and 3D clients, including the fact that in certain situations the 3D client felt closer than 2D.

Apparently we missed something that's providing the opposite effect, so I'll see why and get an answer. Then we'll resolve it. Even if that means just putting it back to the way it was.

It was fine as it was Rick, so yeah just undo whatever you changed please :)

  20. I play on a 4k res, but now no matter what I do the max i can get is exactly the same as on a FHD screen, the resolutions are broken.
the game screen is not correcting resolutions however the mini map box, quests box , all boxes are correct to the resolution
