[TI] Surgeon %'s for honour seems out by 1%

Hi all

Not sure if my maths is right here or the way in which its done is correct so please correct me if I'm wrong the sugeon is supposed to be 6% but it seems to be 5%

 

You won't hit at 100% all the time. Its the variance that is getting you.

 

why won't i hit 100% every time? I don't fully understand your comment bud, what variance? other than the ship % variance it all works perfectly

 

Drone design - veteran 20%? Could you clarify this as I don't think you can gain any additional honor from your drones. Also I don't think there is any variance in the % of additional honor you should gain.

 

Veteran Formation

• This formation has a special look in the 3D client.

• Augment your drone control unit with the Veteran Formation.

• Honor is increased by 20%; however, laser damage, hit points, and shield points are all decreased by 20%.

• As long as you have 4 or more drones, you can use this formation any time after you‘ve purchased it.

As for variance, yes. There shouldn't be any as that. Also I never used Surgeon in gate so I can't tell exactly, but I might check it today on NPCs and see if it was only one time glitch or % are really messed up.

 

I see, I suggest that if you have not already you submit a video showing you configs set up as well as a record of your logs to support. You will have to wait for a MOD to comment on this issue.

 

it is possible that a booster ran out or a base was destroyed or the honor mod and you didnt realize it

I don't think this issue is caused by the Surgeon as such (as i tested the Surgeon with bare minimum boosters and i appeared to receive the correct 6% boost). However i think the issue is the method of calculating the honor from the various bonuses, because different combinations of percentages can give varying results. You're calculations are based on the assumption that none of the percentages are combined, i.e.;

Total Honor = Base Honor * Surgeon Boost * Drone Formation Boost * Boosters * Pilot Bio Boost

However, when i calculated the honor using the assumption that one or more could be combined, i got the following results;

Therefore from that, i believe we can deduce that the correct method for calculating the honor is;

Total Honor = Base Honor * (Ship Design Boost + Drone Formation Boost) * Boosters * Pilot Bio Boost​

The veteran design works like a honor booster. you get extra honor from aliens gates etc..
