[TI] the protocols for the pet not working?

  2. i descide to stop buy boxdubler until they back old % uri per box and put more extra energy,maybe they not care but i hope tht i am not only1
     
  3. Do what I do when boxing; forget using the PET all together. I have 12 lvl 2 salvage protocols, and even with those I can still collect more uri with my ship than my PET can using the protocols. My ability to collect boxes is almost twice that of the PET, thus get more in the same amount of time vs the PET alone, and with the PET aiding my collection. My advice is to use what works until the problems get addressed.
     
  4. If your PET picks up 1 box then that is 1 that your ship missed.
    I box with both ship and PET.
    AND it is a crime that the BIO and Protocols I used URI to get, ARE still NOT working 2 weeks into this event.
    Fix what we paid for............................
     
  5. I can only hope they fix the problems we have NOW before they make the next UPDATE and start this process all over again. If the history of the changes is followed, we will see things compounded to a point where they have to "RE-LOAD" the game to clear out the old errors and try to start with a fresh slate but then they need to be dealing with this anyways since FLASHPLAYER is having so many issues and not being maintained any longer.

    You are correct we did pay for the Protocols and Bio so if they are not working then we should be compensated for the amount we spent or have the differences "BOOKED" to our accounts starting with the first day of the event until they PROVE the problem has been corrected.
    Must be another GLITCH in the system as the Cargo Bay is not supposed to be effected by the NEW Ores but I guess the LOOTER gets disabled if cargo bay is full. Come on Dev Team lets stop working on the Hangar Upgrade, that no one wants to see implemented, and fix the problems in the game instead.

  6. Along with the prots not working, my pet will NOT pick up the "rare" ingredients when my cargo bay is full.
    I am pretty sure that ingredients were NOT supposed to be included in individual cargo caps.
    So you have to sit there and wait for the cargo to materialize and HOPE that some $killed player does not come along and pop you while you sit and wait. Also lost a lot of ingredients as it took this olde chap a while to clue into this fault!

  7. I have a theory regarding the pet salvage protocols. They have turned them off because I believe that they will interfere with how much scrap etc that the pet picks up. The protocols gives an extra % on cargo it picks up and giving the fact that scrap is classed as cargo, your pet will pick up more than 1 scrap.

    Put it this way, when they brought out the crafting system and if our pets started to pick up 5 times the amount they should be because of lets say a bug or another poorly worked update, they would of fixed it within the first 24 hours. Like they did with the bonus box gate spins when they launched the Kuiper gate. Then they subsequently nerfed bonus boxes to restore balance.

    It would not surprise me at all if the salvage protocols start working again after the crafting event is over.

  9. Even after the event is over, the material will be out there to pickup as there will be other recipe's to complete per the FAQ. Instead of turning them off they should have nerfed them so they don't apply to crafting material. I don't care what anyone says, fixing a problem takes time. I don't like it, but it is a reality. The test server literally sucked as on the ship could pick the material up, which was not picked up on by the devs until after the event went live. Their system for receiving our reviews needs to be worked on. It don't take anything to log into the forums, Facebook, Twitter or anyplace else they have communications to see what people are saying about the game. With the Mods here, I personally feel this is the best place for them to get their feedback as 90% of Facebook is "Open Test Server," "Game Sucks," "Game Broke again," and the like. The Devs spend their time writing code. Personally I think they need a big game room where Quality Control spends the day Playing on Big Screens in a Test Server all day long. It should have all the latest code, so if something is put in, like Assembly, they can really see how it works. I have issues understanding how a lot of things get missed. I keep thinking about seeing how to get in on the Testers list, but I am guessing they would prefer someone in their area of the world, for work hours reasons.
     
  10. Issue is the Event is a Launch of a New Ongoing System that is not going away. The argument "They turned them off for the Event" does not hold water unless they have removed it from the game all together and thus is going to negate the need to buy them further and they will need to refund a bunch of monies if they have arbitrarily decided to remove these for this reason.
    I like the idea of having the Q C Playing the game all the time. What they need to do is to get a group of players (interested in PvE only) together playing on a single server and run this as the Launch Server. These players are given all of the Advantage Packs (no Charge), they are expected to play "x" amount of hours per day/week or lose the account. The G G's are available however a player is not allowed to spend more than 25% of their time in the Gates on this account. All New Upgrades/Features are fully tested on this server for 30 (glitch free) days before launching on the regular servers. These players have a special forum that is seen only by the Dev Team and issues are resolved A.S.A.P. so they can launch a BUG Free Update to the Normal Servers.

    This Server would have everything just like the Normal servers and anything added would be tested and if not able to be fixed quickly would be removed and reworked so as to not affect the play-ability of the rest of the server. The Beta Site could even be used for this purpose but would no longer be select-able in the server choice area and would require a Secure Connection to access it. Issues found would be required to be reported and the CHOSEN Players would have to attempt to direct where the problem came from (tests like closing Chat, removing Chips, turning PET's off, etc). Threats of leaving the game are dealt with by terminating access and failure to interact with the Dev Team would also be terms of account loss.

    D O needs to bring our game back to us and allow us to enjoy what we used to, instead of this laggy, nerfed, excuse of a game they are giving to us now.

Man with all due respect this aint a backroom company sticking out a one trick pony game with a few hundred players, its bigpoint !! they got 93 million registered playerso_O they sold thier stock for 80 million dollars pounds yen, surely they have got the manpower to sort this salvage problem out its been three weeks for gods sake!! cast your mind back to kuiper boxes :rolleyes: that got sorted within two hours, funny that..o_Oo_O


    If this happens then we have been robbed again haha time to rethink methinks

  13. I agree with you there. At the same time, I used to work for a company that is set up in a similar fashion. Bigpoint as a whole has over 500 employees. We will say about 50 are for Bigpoint as a whole and then the rest are split up into teams that are the games. On the twitch they have mentioned that the Dark Orbit Team has gotten with some of the other teams about changes those games have made, but it seems like they really need to collaborate on how to fix issues. I like this game and want to see great things happen here but I first want it working. I would rather have a boring game with no events that works, than have event after event of broken stuff. BigPoint wants to keep players on their toes and roll out new stuff. That said, players are always asking for new stuff. But sometimes instead of flying around exploring, you need to just go to base and make repairs.

We used to have an Event about 4 times a year and they had trouble keeping up with the glitches then now we have over a dozen Events a year and so far we have had 5 game updates and even more Events and none of the issues being seen have been addressed for 2 months, first issues seen April 1st causing play ability problems further compounded with the A.S. Launch, not including glitches that may have been seen/exploited. But instead of putting improvements on HOLD to rectify issues they want to further compound the game problems by continuing to make changes/improvements that are to date not properly tested to work on our servers. There was a TWITCH Stream where they stated they wanted more player participation in the Events, if they want this then they should make sure the game is enjoyable before they launch an Event. M.A.S.Q.U.E. Ship Expo was supposed to start today but nothing has been seen since the Event FAQ was posted. But then who is going to enjoy it if the PET is not working and we can not use AJP-01 or maintain our Formations where we want them?
     
  15. This steady roll out I am sure has something to do with the buyout. You always have to impress the new bosses. I just hope when they finally get their report card, they don't leave under their custom.

Fine keep the steady roll out to impress the Share Holders but the only thing they are looking for is the dividends they get each quarter and if other B P games are suffering the same as D O the dividends will not be there especially with so many people not BUYING what is being sold whether figuratively or financially.
