[TI] Video to Skip Time of Transfer

  1. Okay so they give us an opportunity to skip 45 minutes of the transfer by watching a video. I have now tried for 4 days to cut this time down with these videos.

    Issue is you get to watch an ad for OXY CLEAN and get NO credit for viewing the ad, there is another one that will load with a PLAY arrow and then does nothing else (can't read the LOGO in top right of video) or I get told I waited too long and need to contact support. Every one of these takes one of your 10 DAILY videos away without giving anything for it. Biggest issue here is you get 3-4 of each of these ads and at least one of the "Too Long" (got this right after sending the transfer) errors a day, leaving me with 1-2 actual credits of time a day (assuming I am not told "There is currently no video available." which is almost every time I have a failed video attempt, sometimes even re-logging does not clear the issue, and YES I clear my History frequently (Google Chrome automatically clears Flash Cache).

    I am told to "right click" the center of the image, select "INSPECT" and then "EDIT HTML" to send information to Support, I can do everything except "EDIT HTML" there is nothing inside the "INSPECT" screen to allow you to edit it. I asked to get a screen shot of what I am supposed to be able to see and have not been given a response to the request.

    Is there any TECH SAVVY people who might assist me in getting the information they need? Just a screen shot of the Inspect area and where to find the "edit HTML" would be sufficient.

    Appreciate the Constructive Comments here. Sarcasm and Haters can bypass this thread.

  2. I am short of time... the black screen with a start that doesnt is the a provider called 'supersonic'... will edit later

    EDIT... there are 3-4 different providers and at least 2 work regularly for me... the above 'supersonic' rarely do (sometimes if I retry for 10 minutes but not for certain)

    The thing doesnt work at all yeh.
    They should fix this cuz it has never skilled 45 minutes because i watched a video...
     
  4. This happened to me so often (I view videos for Dextrose Energy), sometimes I feel cheated for watching a 15 minute video and not receiving the one credit...But I've never ask the support, because I've no idea to send some proofs.

    But I've got the experience that if I open another tab too long while starting the video tab in the back ground , I'll not get my credit. This makes no sense because D O must spy my tabs like F*cebook for that.

Support will say, as will the FMs, that this is an outside provider and their responsibility is limited ...Clicking on tabs, other than the 'collect' icon at the end of the 'offer' (2 have a green tab which must be clicked in order collect), well I wouldnt do it myself... but I agree that the problem should be brought up as it reflects upon DO..
    EDIT
    I will look harder to see what I can see but as I am no computer whizz...
    anyway, am I to gather that this OXY and Dextrose are the items being promoted by the Ad provider???

  6. @BestGArenEUW the line you gave all the emoticons to is there because I have a bunch of people who think I am just creating posts for the purpose of increasing my post count and ignoring the fact that most of my content is in an attempt to direct the people to the right thread or the solution to their issue. I have also been ordered out of peoples threads so I have some haters on the forums.
    The information I am trying to find out how to get, IS what support stands on for them to resolve the issue. But when they tell you to select something that does not exist how do you do that? I have watched the OXY ad so many times all the way to the end and it tells you in the bottom of the "INSPECT" that there are "NON SECURE ITEMS" trying to post to a SECURE site, but until I can send them the URL (found by using "EDIT HTML") they can not assist me.
     
  7. I have tried the 45 minute bonus for watching Ads and to my happy surprise they all worked this morning... I have several screen-shots of 2 different providers(there are a couple more but havent seen them as yet today) including the, as I called it earlier, 'Supersonic' provider (I cannot check deeper with my poor Computer knowledge but) unusually today, they usually return to replay endlessly and never pay, I have watched 3-4 nice 'Achievement-type' videos which lasted 5-8 minutes and they all paid the 45 minutes...
    Maybe your post has been heard:rolleyes:
    Have you tried today? I have had all these reasons recently/regularly but today seems fine...

    A simple solution would be to add a button to the interface to report bad adds so that they get flagged for attention.

  10. Here is the information that support told me to do and when I asked for a screen shot of the second step I got no response.

    If you are familiar with the “Inspect” function of a browser, please select this option by right-clicking on the video (in the center of the screen) and select “Inspect” from the dropdown.

    There you should find such URL. To copy that URL you have to select “Edit HTML”. You can then copy and paste the URL into your email.


    I need assistance with the URL locating.
    Yes I tried this morning and got to remove my pimples again but no 45 minute credit, damn you OXY!

    You are correct but then we are talking D O, so simple is not in their vocabulary. Just like giving a smooth running UPDATE can not be accomplished.

    The best thing that I can tell you is to contact support and provide the videos that are not working as they should.
    We here in forums have no control over the outside video source issue and have no way to investigate the matter further.

  12. I am trying to see if anyone can help me figure out what was requested from Support as they can not provide me anything further than the PINK in post #10 above, and I can not find any type of "edit" in the "INSPECT" tab that opens up.

  14. Thank You for that, I went as far as to request a "Screen Shot" from the techs (via Support) so I could see what they were asking for but that failed to do any good.

    On the right side, there is many things that pop up when you hit inspect. One of them should be grayed, as that is the one you clicked. Right click the gray one, and then edit should pop up.

  16. @~Monster~ Thank you for the information on this, however, there are several URL's listed in the Inspect screen, can you possibly show where it might be in the SUPERSONIC and OXY ads as I get 2-3 of these each day and they never work.

    You did resolve one issue for me now it is just finding the correct URL in 2 dozen of them in the body of the element.

    Maybe with the assistance of ASTRAEA we could clean this thread up a little and make a sticky out of it as others have said they have had similar issues.
     
  17. It appears that 'supersonic' may be using Flash but requires the use of a specific player 'JW player'... please someone comment

    As I explained the issue with the ads must be rectified by the vendors who provide those ads. All we can do is report the issue to the appropriate vendor and hope they can get it resolved. I'm sorry this is not something we simply can apply a quick fix for on our side.

    Meaning they have absolutely no control over what is presented on their site. Too bad they have given this control away to advertisers and want to upset the players so badly. Just like the glitches they continue to leave in the game.

    Well I can now add the Pedigree advertisement to the non working advertisements as it now tells us to click start to watch the video for the entire showing of the video I sat through 3 showings of the video and got nothing for it and was sent right back to it on the next video try and again I got the same thing.

    Obviously, if D O can not control the content on their game there is no reason to support their game, no more money from me to B P.

    EDIT;

    I used every one of my video CHANCES at various hours Yesterday and received no reduction in time from any of them as all I got was the SuperSonic ad and no matter how many times I clicked to Start/Replay it never did more than to run the replay arrow in its circle. Tried for half an hour just to do that one credit just once.

    If the feature is not controlled by D O then instead of upsetting the players with FALSE statements then remove the feature.

I agree if D O BigPoint has no control over what is done on their server, or that their customers are compensated for doing what they are asked for, then WHY are we even being offered the opportunity to save the time. I had an appointment I needed to get to and my transfer (twice a day 12 hours apart) was going to hit 45 minutes after I had to leave. I tried for the full half hour I had available before I had to leave and found I could not get my credit for the 45 minutes.

    No wonder D O can not control DDoS attacks, they have an OPEN access Program and do not control content added to their servers, as stated from supports quotes if these are accurate, and as I have not found HMHY to be untruthful in any of his posts I will side with him as he is posting SUPPORTS replies.
     
  20. No reason to lie about this and I do "Cut and Paste" right out of the email responses I get.

    I get so tired of watching the same screen/video all the time and it is even worse to login, open SkyLab and click to view a video and be told I have waited too long and the feature is not available "Please contact Support" and still lose the opportunity to reduce the transfer time.

    List of Current ads seen and status of rewards;
    • OXY replaced by Straight Talk and still does not give credit.
    • SuperSonic still being seen several times in a row and still not working.
    • Evian "Live Younger" (baby bay ad) works every time and funny watching surfer babies.
    • MorningStar seems to work all the time.
    • Pedigree ad has a glitch (once it did not register that I pressed "start") but usually pays out.
    • Milano cookie ad, entertaining, but is a crap shoot if you collect the reward.
    I would have assumed that DO/BP would have ads submitted to them verified they paid out as were supposed to and controlled how often they get shown in a day, but from what Support says I can only assume there is no control over what content is advertised or how often we see the same thing (whether it works or not). TOO BAD even the simplest of tasks is so hard to achieve.

    Guess it is time to go play Hocus Puzzle instead of the game I used to enjoy.
