    if you check of the boxes and set the things to everyone or members only it allows people to view your profile and leave you messages
    (which makes it easy to contact you)

    Does this then show my full Date Of Birth as i dont want anyone knowing that...?

    It doesn't allow you to show the year of birth only... really poor forum option IMO..!
