Treacherous Domain Event Feedback

    Worst event ever ! i dont think it would even be fun to play if it worked lol .
    no kill count as yet on the towers or the boss ,so how to do the objectives?

    this needs to be explained .

    And as for the unity client ,its just a mess ..

    ships abilities do not or work only on the odd occasions ,
    still no clan showing ,so it will not show clan members online on the contacts tab .
    freezes everytime i jump a port .

    the only time it runs smoothly is if you stay in one map .

    Q: I cannot claim my rewards in the Flash version.
    A: Please change to the Unity version and check your ingame messages. You should get your rewards there.

    Q: We destroyed the Dreadfyre Guardian and Dreadfyre Fortress but they didn't count for the Battle Pass objectives. Why?

Like this event is absolutely abysmal, its reliant on RNG to get the Fortress and Guardians, and as this event has gone on the players who have gotten the missions have left as no real incentive to keep playing it which means the Fortress can't be defeated leaving the rest who hadn't lucked out getting the Fortress can't get it and the guardians as well as these can't be destroyed till the fortress is damaged enough, which isn't happening with the less players.. so you've made an event that can't be completed for the trailing players.

    This is being a new event comes straight in as the worst event that will be hard to beat, but that is not an impossibility but a challenge you could probably do..

    Next year put the old version back

    oh and getting hold of fragments is diabolical too

  6. Impossible to kill Fortress or the Guardians even with a Full Double Boosted Group. Who came up with this one?

    got to be the worst event ever, everytime i log on the events finished, what a joke, dont you realise we have a real life?. why didnt you just give us 2 chances to enter the gate a day, instead of giving us stupid time slots?. which suit the botters.

    Event currency shop was good and we got some very nice stuff by just playing the event. Few attempts to roll some good modules and oil stuff etc. helps a lot on a new server. Event pass was also worth the money, despite the fact that completing all of them was basically impossible at least in some servers, if you did not participate during the first days of the event.

    The gameplay loop for the event was nice in theory, but execution failed due to reasons below.

    Not good or bad:
    In the beginning there was some good communication from the team. Someone (Saimon) was actually answering questions in Discord and being the middleman between players and the developers. Like, because the F.A.Q was bad and players had no idea what counts as killing the event NPC:s, we got an actual quote from developer who said it has to be last hit (which is different to how everything else works in terms of getting a kill). Then the communication stopped. No explanation, BP just abandoned the event. If you go on vacation or something, let players know. Now it just left bad taste for everybody. You constantly speak about how negative the community is. That is your own doing, humans and especially gamers are pricks by nature. You need to nurture them to make them happy, well known in the gaming industry. There are some extremely positive gaming communities out there, which mainly results from amazing communication from the team. You have some genuinely nice people in your community, but they are too frustrated with your communication to suppress the nonconstructive hate by immature folk. Like, writing actual sentences takes time. It feels like it is waste of time to write this for example, so it is rare that you see someone bothering to actually try and feed you constructive feedback.

    Bad:
    Your event F.A.Q was bad. The boss mechanics were explained a little bit, but insufficiently. It was not stated anywhere that the boss gains HP when players die on the map. First, people thought it is a bug, but it was confirmed by Saimon (who asked developer) that it is intentional. Why was it not mentioned? Players did not know it, they just thought boss has infinite HP. This resulted in players just dying again and again, because it was faster to die and spawn at center for fast repair, than it was to disengage and wait for the full repair. In the last 10 days of the event, the boss did not die a single time (at least in Titan) and people were unable to progress the battle pass. In Discord, Saimon even said that the team is monitoring the situation of boss gaining HP when players die, but that never led to anything and it was the last piece of communication from the team until this day. People were left to suffer with the "impossible to complete" goals, growing more and more annoyed every day.

    Shooting the boss was very unrewarding after completing the missions. It was complete waste of ammo. Even if you were in the top 10 damage dealers, you were better off shooting Kristallons or something. Event is supposed to be MORE rewarding than normal gameplay. In the future, give the boss HP / uri ratio of something like Kristallons, or at bare minimum Lordakiums. Players with high damage stopped the event immediately after completing their goals, after which other people were unable to kill the boss. This happened already after the very first days of the event. Sure, when you account for the event missions and the event shop, the event was very rewarding in terms of time used. But after the goals were done? It made the life miserable for people who were still trying to do them.

    The global damage goals (levels 1 to 20) were only unlocked after players entered the gate for the 1st time. Because the event was bugged during the first days, many people avoided the event. When I went in for the first time, the global damage goal was already at level 9. It was impossible to get the rewards from levels 1 to 8. If something like this exists, please communicate it clearly. Like: "make sure to enter the event gate as soon as possible, because otherwise you will miss out on rewards PERMANENTLY!". Finding out about overlooked stuff like this makes the event look very unprofessional. Sure, there was the test server for the event, I can understand how these things slip through if no one mentions them. So many things to keep track of. But at least react to the feedback during event, or let players know that you are unable to do so due to vacation or something. Now it just looks like intentional ignoring.

    And final bad feedback. I have no trust that anyone from the team is going to read this. I am just procrastinating work and had nothing better to do so I just wanted to try and help the game I have irrational nostalgic feelings towards. This is caused by your poor communication, you can do better.

  10. The HP buffs should have been explained better in the event announcement. Nobody would have died in the TD if they would have picked up the boxes from the harbingers and never change configs. Once you got over 20 mil HP you could just sit on the fortress and take rockets with no worries. It was a quick 10-15k uri, but should have ran more frequently, especially if it is going to be so difficult to kill. Maybe it was easier to kill at the beginning with more participation, but it was a sep and ammo dump. Im sure people went through a mil sep easy during the event, I'm down over 500k and I didnt participate a whole lot til the end. It paid for my boosters and built a few more gates and I'm still up a little uri. Wasnt terrible for a now free player, but not as rewarding uri wise as frozen lab event.
