Before I begin, I state that this is not a payment problem, but a suggestion to avoid them. :D
Hello. I have a suggestion regarding the automatic subscription on specific packets on the payment section. I recently heard that in some cases where from a reason or another Bigpoint can't charge you for the automatic subscription which is currently ongoing, the account will have a specified date when it will be closed due to failed payment.

The problem here is that the notification about this account closure will be only on the payment section and will be easily forgot to there, because I really think not everyone will go there to check every now and then if it's charged or not, neither some people will check their bank account if it's charged or not due to possible bills and other stuff.

As far as I know, there is no other possible way to be aware of possible account closure if it fails than checking the ongoing subscriptions. (Correct me if there is.) So why not adding a simple email notification since the start stating that the automatic subscription failed and also stating that if the payment is not paid before certain date, the account will be closed, or put a popup window on the front page when you first login?

This thing could save a lot of tickets for emailing payment support, it will save people's money as they don't need to pay the penalty and will prevent possible heart attacks caused by the scary mean notification in the start by a surprise.

Nothing else. Have a nice day. ^^

All I can say is, +1. Would definetly save from a lot of hassle when problems occur.

  3. The thing I question about this is, IF it is a RENEWAL, IF it failed to make payment, then the subscription does not renew and the PLAYER does not OWE anything, therefore why is an account closed? I purposely did not save my payment information, when using debit card so they would not automatically renew my timed purchases. NOW I use Gift Cards and they do not have the Automatic Renewal and therefore I do not have the payment failure closure possibility.

I really get upset that accounts can be closed over an internal D O issue, they do not have to issue the items if the purchase does not process properly, and usually do not. The only way they should have to close an account is if the payment method is reported as stolen and the payment is reversed after the issuance of the purchased goods and this being a criminal offense is justification to have the account closed.

I don't know how it didn't made it to happen, but I think that it renewed, then an unexpected error occurs and the payment didn't catch the destination, which might make the payment charged back meaning that the account possibly can be closed.

  5. Well that is an internal issue that D O should address instead of closing an account over something that can easily be removed from the account instead.
