[UI] Alien Mines

    The idea I'd like to propose is for mines to effect aliens too.
    Make them so aliens can trip them and receive splash damage from them as well.

    Not everyone has kami or even pets to use in game, make either specialized mines that effect aliens or the current mines to effect them.

    I would love that; using mines is an acquired skill of which I do not have. Heck, a week or so ago I trip my own mine and blow my remaining shields then popped.

    I would love to practice laying mines.
     
  3. I have 7689 dmg mines all I would have to do is lay aload of mines in maps and sit and watch my rank go up, this idea would benefit players of a high level with too much ammo and a way to get rid of unwanted ammo. lol

The issue I see is that killed by mines do not count for anyone unless you have a red lock from an active attack so setting mines though is helpful would not gain any additional rewards by using them unless it is set off by the NPC you are already engaged with. I have never been told I was destroyed by a mine set by "??" when I have been hit by a mega mine that took me down with one mine, it says I was destroyed by a mine.

    So other than removing trash while killing a larger NPC I do not see an advantage to this suggestion.

    Well consider the Kami splash damage. Even if you're not locked on the aliens it destroys, you still get credit for the destroyed aliens you don't have a lock on.

    This may also change the way you just explained the mine damage is displayed.
    Perhaps It may start telling you who laid the mines.

    I feel like this would rather be annoying and encourage people to use mines (especially beginners) as a way of attacking because they are reliable and often deal a lot of damage (especially with the lance formation). Maps could get spammed with mines and it could be a lot more troubling than rewarding. Imagen, flying from point A to B and always encoutering at least one mine, chipping away health, causing you to wait to repair, making almost everything verry time consuming...

    To counter the above you might think it is a good idea to create special NPC mines. While I do see it as a possibilty, we have to take into account that NPC's are verry dumb. If they see a mine they don't just fly in another direction or away from it at all, making them easy targets. This makes it so that the afore mentioned ''NPC'' mines have to be extremely weak in order to be fair.

    Now I agree that it could be a good way to give mines another use, but I would rather see a crafting option, similar to how ISH are made out of ACM-1 mines.

    In the end I feell like mines are especially designed for defending (or attacking) a CBS, and I think (apart from any crafting options) it should stay that way.

    I don't know any FE much less beginners with lance formation, crafting or not I like the idea of them being weak in damage as long as the area effect is right.
    Special made or focused mines for aliens is a likeable suggestion.

    This may be a way to ease "gates" for those that don't have pets to employ.
