[UI] All Subscriptions

I believe that this game is unfair with Subscriptions. I think that subscriptions should only run when you are physically online and in-game. Because some people can't play the game for long periods of time for whatever reason. We should be able to save our money by not having the game subscriptions running when we are not on. It will make it easier for all the players and make us want to play the game without emptying out our pockets.

I know that this Idea will probably never be realized because DO wants to get money. They are taking our money even when we are not online or in game. This virtually sucks our money and gives them more money. So they would not be willing to do this.

I just wanted to show them that people want this idea to come into fruition. We want to be able to play our game without having to worry about when we are going to have to pay for our premium, boxing doubler etc. So if you are with me please take this poll and thank you for looking over this idea.

 

Why is it when players suggest an idea they try to play devils advocate with it? Present your idea but make it clear to show the issue you have with it the way it is now. Most subscriptions I know of tell you the time for it in the choices. Premium, Rebate and the like are set up for a set time duration that you can choose from. If you are not able to play during that time, that is not something Dark Orbit could control. You need to plan out your play time and make purchases accordingly. What is the point of the poll? I am not sure they are allowed in the idea section. At any rate, if you purchase doubler for a week and only play about two hours a day, its likely to run all year. DO is not going to go for that, and I don't blame them. Trying to make them look bad for that will not win them over. They have things to fix, and yes, the money they make from subscriptions pays for the time they spend on such things.

Well since you do not know about every players personal life you do not know if they have emergencys that they need to take care of and that doesnt allow them to play the game. Im not playing devils advocate im just saying this idea will never come to life because of DO wanting to make money on players.

 

This is why some people pay MORE and buy the weekly Advantage Pack instead of getting the FREE week by buying the 8 week pack ($19.92 v $17.99) and if buying with a Gift Card they do not have Auto Renewal so they only pay when they think they are going to be able to play. I would support this idea when a server is suffering from DDoS attacks and you are not able to login because of them but not because you are unable to play because of Family Issues. We all have things come up in our LIFE and we all have to deal with them but to make it the responsibility of D O for your personal life is not right.

I do agree, while the problems that have occurred in game, (known glitches) they should be extending the subscriptions until the game is returned to what it was before the A.S. was Launched, but the realist in me knows this is not going to happen either. Family Issues D O has no control over whereas the DDoS attacks can be prevented by proper Security checks and balances and Bugs/Glitches added to the game is directly faulted to D O and as such should be their responsibility to STOP all timers (Boosters-Shop-In Game-Bonus-CBS, Subscriptions-Premium-Rebate-Doubler), of such items until they have the game returned to the state it was before the issue(s) was/were reported/discovered/Launched, meaning we should have 18 days (assuming they were not allowed to expire) of these added to our current counters or for those that run on an In-Game counter the time we TRIED to play during those 18 days (so we still have the same amount we had before the A.S. Launch caused all of the FREEZE/LAG plus any bought during this time). I do not expect to have everyone compensated as they usually do because not all players use/BUY all of these, but, I do expect there to be an additional compensation for the inconvenience caused to all players who have tried to login even once during this time period, of course if the players with the other items have not logged in, then they get nothing for their subscriptions as they did not suffer from the game problems but chose not to play during this time (for whatever reason except inability to get Back Page to load but required Support Contact for confirmation of issue, login includes getting on Back Page and interacting with the Forums). So those persons who tried to play during this time period all get an inconvenience compensation and those who BOUGHT anything before or during the issues have everything they should have had without the loss of this time frame.

 

Your right, I don't know every players personal life. I personally have a full time job, and a son, and find even when you don't factor in those two items, I actually have less time to play lately. Some days I find I am lucky to do a, as in 1, transfer a day and click the daily to be done sometime in the future. External to the game issues will not be a binding thing to the company changes.

Yes, you put he dare out there when you suggest something and then follow up with that statement. The subscriptions have been out there for a long time and now that you had an emergency, assuming here, and was not able to capitalize on your purchase, you wish to see change. I read it, I understand it, and now am done.

 

I am not having any issues currently I just thought this would be a good Idea for the game

 

For players maybe. It would be a death stroke for the game. Cheers...
