[UI] an A.f.k. mode

well i'm not sure if i'm doing this right, but here goes

i thought of this as a tool for both seasoned veterans and beginners, it mostly pertained to palladium farming since that is a big issue on sever, fe players, and ufe players take the weaker players up there to help get extra energy to zeta, kappa, and lambda gates. also meant for players with limited free time (like me, i work 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week minimum). as the saying goes, real life first.

Well to start with please don't call it a bot, might as well be calling the P.E.T. 10 a bot, but this function nulls the auto-disconnect while this function runs. i haven't decided it to be an extra, pet protocol/gear, or standard game function

PROs:
Nulls Auto-Disconnect
Invulnerability, limited can not be used on maps 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-4, or 4-5
Duration, preferably hours (minutes seems pointless to me), 2 4 6 8 hours, adjustable to content creators liking

CONs:
*Passive only (can not fight)
*Consumes resources or fuel, mines and/or xenomite
*LIMITED TIME USAGE
*3/6/12/24 hour cool down (be overpowered if allowed to be spammed repeatedly)
*Can only collect resources or bonus boxes, can not collect loot crates, or pirate booty boxes, gold, red, or blue booty boxes (i know some cube leeches would try, so i would say have this as a limitation)

all stats are subject to change, if implemented as an extra i'd say the price would be about between a ISH-01 and AIM-02 somewhere in there.

if as a pet gear i say 12,500 for first stage at lowest settings, 32,000 for stage 2 at moderate settings, and 75,000 for stage 3 at max settings,

as i said, its meant for pretty much everyone, so pricing can be adjusted.

its got quite a few CONs and limitations, doesn't seem well balanced.

no, 4-5 is a pvp map, 4-4 is a pvp map, 5-1 through 5-3 are PIRATE MAPS, big difference.

 

When did DO announce that 5-1, 5-2 and 5-3 are pvp maps? They are pirate maps, duh.

 

Haven't you figured it out yet? DO wants real live players flying their ships, not an AI flying for them. Collect it yourself or do without. I have a job and a life too, so it's taken me two years to get where I am now. And that is not UFE. If you can't put in the cash that is the way developers want you to do it, slowly. All you're asking for is a sanctioned bot that will also prevent you from being attacked with a slight disadvantage of having a cool down period.

NO to the idea.

 

If you have not seen it, there are missions for pvp in the 5-x maps.

 

so you have missions to go your enemies home maps and destroy them there, the game its self is pvp based.

with that said what changes should i make? to appease to your guys liking

Seriously though, we can't have an AFK mode where people aren't allowed to be shot, it would be abused heavily by bots.

 

this idea was suppose to help dark orbit close the gap between elite players and noobs, what good would this do for a bot let alone a pvper?
cause if it does, tell me, i would like to know

 

If I was botting accounts and a AFK mode where I couldn't be shot was introduced into the game I would head straight to battlemaps in a spearhead and box to my hearts content knowing nothing would slow down my botting. How you can't see that happening is beyond me.

The way to reduce the gap between noobs and UFE to is reduce the cost of the game, not add an AFK mode which will just be completely abused.

 

An auto play on any game is for "Noobs" I laugh when I see games with auto play and think (Its gotta be full of cheaters).
Pirate maps are battle maps as its big and great for pvp with a twist of npc and resources....Ask support or admins and they will give you the same answer.

 

the passive part means they can not fight while in afk mode, nor can be attacked, so it would be extremely useless in a battle-map, other than 5-1 and 5-3, its not meant for combat.


but i can already tell this idea is a bust, nobody likes it, and dark orbit isn't gonna do crap about their price, they aren't gonna reduce their pay checks

 

I totally disagree to this idea, they are taking step by steps and then finally request DO to let them bot again. If you don't have time to play then don't play. Simple.

 

Nope this doesn't help noobs, also think about FE players, they'll go afk, with lots of pet gears and protocols and they'll get UFE way before you can even become FE, this idea only encourages FE players to become UFEs and does the least for noobs.

 

Let me get this straight... because you're too busy with real life, you want an invulnerable ship so your computer can have the pet run for you and you won't get shot down? Wouldn't it be easier for you to suggest "hey DO... I really can't be bothered to do the pally stuff, so why don't you give everyone a free gate every couple of days".

 

^ This guy who has popped me upon seeing me 12 out of 13 times is so funny. And he is right. Having this is just one step away from botting. You would not even have to have a bot as okapi suggest; you just log in and let the pet fly. Eventually there would be a thread about hundreds of players crowding the battle and pally maps in AFK mode and not being able to collect anything. Pets just flying all around, "Box already collected" "Box already collected." I could just see spaceball, and I already don't like spaceball because of all the drama that is there now. I take it back, let there be one. Then I can read in chat about all the wars that have started because those clans just sit in the battlemaps hogging everything with there pets. Then those of us not using it can play, "Who let the AFK mode run out without paying attention" and lock and load.

 

I still dislike people who come to pop FE's who try to get stronger. There will come a moment when you can't really do anything else but gates. Eventually you WILL need it for your hercules/ havoc. And of course, most stronger players will disagree. Since those botters were banned, the pussat design came out and this infection event started, palla here on GE2 is just dead and there are almost always enemys.
I rather have it removed because now I feel like people are pushing. And playin on another time is not always an option, as stated above.

I disagree with a bot (since I do think you should be doing something by yourself) but I would like to see some more protection. Some more palladium and maybey a bigger palla field

Here is what you're missing, or just ignoring. This 'thing' is used for pally or bonus boxes. BB's in the battle maps (4-1, 4-2 and 4-3) give 50% more rewards per box than normal maps. Players collecting these right now worry about enemies coming in and shooting them in a map where they cannot jump port and escape. Now you're saying to let people collect these BB's in battle maps without the fear of being attacked. Botters would love this as it would allow then to collect more without fear of being shot.

Now do you see the problem with this idea?
