  1. Suggestion: If you want to be an advocate for real change in our game, then go to the forums of a server where the language is different, and copy and paste this idea there.

Before You Read: If you are honest to yourself and admit to either 1 or 2 of the statements below, then skip down to the paragraph that begins with ‘I propose.'

    1) I mistakenly put my pilot points in an unnecessary area that I cannot change because the reset is too expensive.

    2) I want to explore different pilot sheets options but cannot because the reset is too expensive.

The Case for an Alternative Reset Pilot Sheet

The Pilot Sheet’s original design was focused on allowing players to develop play style that best suits their tastes and pleasures. Players have the option to focus on defensive, progression, or offensive stats—or perhaps a combination of any of the three. However the nature of the pilot sheet traps all players in a rigid play style that they are unable to escape due to the doubling cost of the resetting bio.

A common issue for new players with the pilot sheet is that they do not always have the foreknowledge on which skill tree route is in their best interests. New players commonly mismanage or become dissatisfied with their pilot sheet. They are unable to change which skills they picked unless they reset their pilot sheet which doubles in cost every time it is reset.

A common issue for wallet-warriors with the pilot sheet is the curiosity of wanting to explore all skill tree configurations. The only way to satisfy their curiosity is if they reset their pilot sheet a number of times until they have tried out every skill. However to do this they must reset their pilot sheet which doubles in cost.

If Dark Orbit is designed to be a fun and enjoyable game, then players should be able to alter their play style as much as they want. However the nature of the pilot sheet traps all players in a rigid play style that they are unable to escape due to the doubling cost of the resetting bio.

I propose that since the pilot sheet reset causes more pain than pleasure in the DarkOrbit experience that either . . .

    · The pilot sheet be free to reset.
    · The pilot sheet have a maximum of no more than 25,000 U. cost to reset.
    · Developers announce a ‘Free Pilot Sheet Reset Day’ scheduled several times a year.

  2. I see what you are saying. To reset my pilot bio it is 950 uri. Never reset it before. Not sure if it doubles. I would think it should be maxed at some point. Nothing in life is free. Most players who want to change pilot bio has millions of uri stored up. Perhaps it should be charged at different levels 0-10 500 uri, 11-20 5000 uri, 21 and up 10000 uri. Or something like that. Then it could be raised by 20 % every time.
