[UI] bring back the bastion and enforcer?

    due to these not having an ability and having the same % bonus as the skill designs, theyre currently almost never used or seen.

    i was thinking to balance that and set them apart, you could make them a 7.5%(damage) / 15% (shield) boost to balance for the lack of abilities and not really require much work on your (darkorbit team) part to make them interesting again
     
  2. With all the advances in damage, why would we want to have one that keeps taking the level up? There is the Surgeon with 6% damage, which is coveted by a great deal of players and the influence designs having 7% damage against enemy players. We keep seeing more and more in the forums and the chat, when it works, about the cost of such items. Now you want to up the anti on ship/designs :rolleyes: that were here even longer. The skill design ships are called that for a reason, they bring a certain skill to the, umm, orbit. But one has to remember that all of them can be countered. With all the new players, and even old players, out there that have problems with hunters, you want to introduce an even stronger weapon for them to use so you can pop, or pop others, even faster. I really don't think this necessary, and while changing a percentage in the code may be a 5 minute task for the dev's, fixing the actual problems in the game I would think would be a better use of their time.
     
  3. The fact that you would be taking a design and turning it into a Ship is what would cause the issues in the game. I would agree to seeing these changed but on a PvE scale not a PvP. This would make it nice for the newbs to use it in killing strong NPC's but give no advantage to the PvP player.

    yes it does bring higher damage, but the surgeon also has an extra generator which is a clear game changer. also considering every other design also has an ability, i think it would balance them out to give them a slightly bigger boost since they have no generator or abilities to make them equal in any other way
     
  5. Some are just for looks, unlike the ones you wish to change. But there are goli and vengi designs, now ships, that just boost exp, and honor and nothing else.

    Instead of increasing damage why not increase accuracy for enforcer and Hp's with bastion by 15% for each.

    thats not a bad idea, especially the hp part, but they already have 2 other designs (that i never see anymore) that add hp.

    so maybe they could just make it possible to combine designs? like bastion and veteran together, or enforcer and exalted, so you can have damage/shield combo with ep/honor. but of course not shield AND damage combo

    I agree but I'd like to see a ship design that offers accuracy over damage.

    accuracy would be hard to really see the difference on though. and there are bio points for that.

    why would we need ship for accuracy? there is pilot bio and aim cpu for it

    you talking about balance but i don't see it at all,now with 6% dmg bonus people can deal 250k+ dmg per 2 sec,i don't know how broken it will be with 1,5% more damage

    There are bio abilities for both designs to begin with making the comment of accuracy being a waste of time moot. Instead of damage I feel accuracy needs to be explored more. I'd take improved accuracy every day of the week and twice on sunday if I could.

    An lf-4 that hits 25% of the time as opposed to another that hits 15% makes a real difference in battle.
     
  13. why not make it 7.5% damage against PVE or 15% shields only in 5-x maps.

    whats the point of the shield boost 'only in 5-x maps'? yes pirates are difficult but not that difficult, might as well add 4-5 but the point is the surgeon is so off balance i was thinking these buffs would counter it enough to no out do overkill but at least keep up with it and at the same time not be that difficult for the programmers

    the idea was to have that old school flare back that can keep up with new school overkill. need some variety for once. not just pve or pvp designs. something properly all purpose to break up all the surgeons
