    Obviously, this game is not as active as back in 2006-2010 but there is still potential. The thing that made this game so successful back in the day is the fact that everyone had a contribution and was able to make it to top account status or even still be competitive. This game needs to revive it's old methods if we want the playerbase to rise again.

    Make every single feature in this game farmable for Free to Play players but still allowing us pay to play players to benefit from buying uridium.

    Back in the day, the reasons we bought so much Uridium was to open gates and get ammo. I am 100% sure that we will still buy uridium for gates and ammo and that will never change. But we need to allow free players easier access to end game content and status. You do not have to change how much damage we do with our lasers or how much more tanky we can make our ships, that is something we can explore ourselves and thats what makes this game stable.

    Add Group content that reward you UFE stuff. Make equipment upgrades the same but Make us work for it. Change the requirements to upgrade gear, such as materials that you can only from actually playing the game. Such as savage parts. Stuff that you cannot buy.

    If you want more profit, add boosters for uridium that increase droprates for materials and another for loot you get from the group.

    Add "named enemies" that is relatively tough in each map that requires multiple people to attack first before the shield drops. Add drops to the boss for everyone who helped kill the enemy. Highest Contribution get higher rewards.

    Add Iris blueprints to the game and make it farmable in group content mention above. More specifically add it to the named enemy drop list.

    Recap:
    • Farmable UFE Content that do not require insane uridium or gate opening. Such as a group instance that is semi challenging and can work in stages and requires a minimum amount of players to do. Group Level 1 will be the easiest content with the lowest drop rate of high end stuff but the highest drop rate for stuff like LF3 and BO2. All the way up to Level 5 which gives you Havoc, Herc and LF4 drops at a low rate but farmable rate. Level 1 can be accessed in x-3, level 2 can be accessed in x-4, ETC.
    • Make each equipment in the game a drop within the group content.
    • Make the Group content addressed above key required that you can only get 5 daily and you have to do a relatively easy quest to get each key. (This will eliminate people from farming the same content all day and keep people on the open maps)
    • Change requirements for Upgrading Equipment. Uridium + a material you get from alien drops. Such as boss devolarium or Lordikum. Make the material nonbuyable and there be no limit so people can farm for upgrades easier. Make the drops regular but not 100%
    • Add a fairly affordable booster for both Loot drops from the group content and for upgrade material drops. For the loot drop, make it 25% better drops, and for materials, make it give 50% more materials.
    • Add Named enemies with drops.
    • Add Iris blueprints to the game that is farmable for free to play players.
    • Remove Auction for everything except ships and skins if content above is added.
    Tag as many people as you can or share link. I want this out because I want the game active again. More people = more money = more fun

    Well defenetly dont remove the auction. I also should point that not every player likes to play in groups. Anyway i find your ideas cool, the thing is just i dont think the ufe gear and co is compatible with the old school way of DO.
    Old DO was not just about farter farming, it was about balance, simplicity, company loyalty and graphics. For that to work u should yes take the game out of gates, implement some way to prevent or punish unfair battles and (ultra important) block the AJP from sending u to enemy maps.
     
  3. If they do not want to work in groups and play solo, they still have the galaxy gates and and all the original ways of obtaining LF4s and stuff. But just like any other activity in life, it will delay their status and take longer than playing with groups. The idea is to promote group play with teamwork to get better. Alot of people quit the game because they cannot do anything for themselves in the game. Maps used to be flooded with hundreds of players, not just a half of dozen. Used to run around and every 2 pixels of the game was a player helping another player and enjoying the game. The few that remain now are those who spend money to maintain top status while the ones who don't spend have all quit. The few who don't spend are new players and they are not competitive at all in the game and will most likely quit sooner or later.

    The game still gets it's new players once in a while, the problem is the content do not appeal to them long term unless they decide to drop a paycheck. My idea is to appeal to new players, free to play players and keep them interested in playing for a longer period of time.

    I see your point but it comes to my mind those noobs i saw playing happy in group back in ge1 who got bashed by some full hercs surgeon. Anyway those ideas seem good to start with.
     
  5. Well, the idea is pve group content. Much like jumping into Hades or LoW gate. People do a quest such as kill this or that and collect the cargo to make keys, and you make the key and join a group of people to jump into the content. When you finish the content, you get random drops from Slot CPU to LF4 and Havocs. Of course like I said before, the higher level content will give you the higher chance of getting the LF4. This makes it so that a lvl 2 will not just jump into the gate and collect LF4 all day.
