[UI] BUFF Citadel for more effectiveness against NPC

    Hello everyone, just wanted to release a quick idea to make the citadel much more usefull for outfits, without increasing its effectivity against players;

    Currently, the Citadel Fortify ability has a HUGE cooldown which is over SIX times as long as (for example) the Sentinel Fortress ability, despite the Citadel being the 'tank' ship. The problem is that tanking with the citadel isn't verry effective: with 20 b02 on your hitconfig you will be verry slow and it will be hard to repair, with more speed you can evade more fire but you will have less shield. Using draw-fire and protection cost you a lot of shield, especially with your already low speed. Sure you can use the fortify ability to get a damag reduction but it lasts for only 10 seconds (7 on citadel elite!), and it has a verry lengthy cooldown of 6 minutes, which makes multiple uses hard to pull of.


    Current Fortify:
    50% damage reduction against both pvp and pve damage
    -100% speed (everything which could 'cheat' the speed reduction, is turned off)
    Duration: 10 seconds (7 on Citadel Elite)
    Cooldown: 6 minutes



    New Fortify:
    50% damage reduction against pvp damage (no change)
    90% damage
    reduction against pve damage
    -100% speed (everything which could 'cheat' the speed reduction, is turned off)
    Duration: 15 seconds
    Cooldown: 30 seconds



    This way, the fortify ability will become a much better option, allowing the citadel to tank damage without receiving to much hits, which would force it to repair.

    Currently: the only way for me to help aegis ship who constantly have to repair me, is by sacrificing 30% HP for just 1% shield repair per second, which is by far not enough to keep up with for example 100K per second from the Century Falcon. It would be much more effective if I could reduce the amount of damage, also giving my friendly Aegis ships a break and the chance to repair other ships.

  2. In view of the latest cool down changes for the Goliath designs the cool down for Citadel should be lowered too. Citadel is kind of useless in PvE (bad laser damage, extremely slow without abilities, the 2 rocket launcher don't load simultaneously...), in return for that it should be a "rock" against strong NPCs. That's fair, because it still needs a long time for killing an alien.

    I totally agree! Rocket launhcers should load simultaneously to.
