For what it requires, it's a hell of a disappointment tbh.

200 booty keys
750 mil credits
75k x4
15k rsb
15k trace

and then for the 50 designs at a MINIMUM (repeats can be dropped):
5,000 mindfire cerebrum
1,250,000 uridium
3,750,000,000 credits
500k x4
75k rsb
120k rinusk
50,000 trace

All for a ship which, at best, is a poor man's cyborg/jumbled mess of other ships.

What it needs:
For the designs to come with no/significantly reduced drawbacks
OR
To be able to combine 1 passive design and 1 active design
OR
Current designs are imbued with extra "anti-blacklight" effects
OR
The series of designs nobody will ever use due to being generally useless can be changed to anti-blacklight ONLY abilities/passives
OR
For the active designs/passive bonuses to be increased accordingly to their heavy drawbacks


The first 2 ideas are pretty self-explanatory, so I'll skip those.

For current designs to be imbued with ABL effects, for example:

UC-DMG2-GSSHD

12% dmg (30% vs BL)

-1 Gen Slot, 10% Shield

 

Good idea to try and get the Centurion made even somewhat useful.

Pity it will never be more than a good idea.
Sadly I'm pretty sure Devs know they released a dud with the Cent, worse I believe it will stay that way. Devs at DO just don't know what the meaning of "balance" is so have no way of fixing their mistakes.

 

For some reason I feel like the Centurion and a good design for it, is much more difficult to acquire than a Cyborg.

I am all for your idea though, the ship with its current status is basically just a fashion statement for how much money you can throw at the game. Terrible ship overall, I've 1v1'd people in their Centurion in my Veng.

 

Besides the fact that it is aesthetically obscene, it also has too many maluses compared to the bonuses.

I agree with you at 101%.

Also a good improvement would be the impossibility of taking double designs (they are damn 50!!!!)
