[UI] Craftable Items (Assembly)

  1. I would like to suggest that NPC drop recipes for UFE equipment that are good for one time use only because:

    1. This will give players another method of obtaining items such as LF4's, Hercules, and Havoc drone designs targeting the problem that it takes far too long to progress in Darkorbit.

    2. This will give the assembly feature a purpose considering as it is right now it is almost completely "useless". 90% of the items that can be created using the assembly feature can be obtained from the auction for less than 20,000 credits.

    3. It will improve the quality of NPC drops.

  2. They will be coming out with new recipe's after the event, such things that are coming are lf4's and drone designs. Enjoy

  5. @PSKSUNDANCE is right LF4s and drone designs (herc and havoc) are not coming to assembly.
    Assembly is not totally useless when u getting EMP bursts from them XD
     
  6. They spend all this time and money to create a new feature that no one is going to use. It reminds me of the Kuiper gate that no one has thought about for at least 6 months. Why even add it to the game? Why not just listen to what your clientele has been asking you for and find a way to implement it? The Assembly feature is an epic failure in my books. It does nothing to address the current problems that plague darkorbit just another useless feature to clutter the interface.

    I completely agree. If their not going to be adding LF4's to the A,S then what is it good for after you get FE? I have yet to see anything in it that I need or want. Being able to create 200 ammo doesn't help anyone.

    not to mention how many npcs you have to kill to get the big things is unbelievable, well if it wasnt for d,o it'd be unbelievable at least.
     
  9. Now you guys want lf4 in assembly to make it easy to get , next day someone will come and say give lf4 in daily login bonus.. there have to be some difficulties in game to make it fun and worth playing. If you get every equipment easy and u become UFE in one month its no fun.

Your right, it don't address the current problems, like lag and now lack of chat, the fact that a lot of players have managed to get LF4's, Havoks, Hercs after spending tons of time working the game. But it does give players a way besides the Uri deal to get the Surgeon and Pusat I grew weary of seeing months ago, and a good alternative to getting some other things as well. Anytime something comes, players always want more. They are dying for shortcuts, like the material being put in the shop so instead of working towards gathering the material, they can craft their stuff NOW, and go smash those still taking the long trek.

    If it takes that long, you had something to work towards the entire time.

    A. Bigpoint can reduce the amount of time required to accumulate UFE equipment
    B. Bigpoint can find a way to make grinding for UFE equipment enjoyable
    C. Bigpoint can make it to where money is no longer the major deciding factor between who wins and who loses
    D. Bigpoint can lose its clientele since there are better games available

    Except some material will "at some point" make it into the shop

    Possible in any game.

    We get what your saying. You stated it in the beginning. At the same time, its something that had already been mulled over and a decision made. I would not mind seeing each of those items as a one time only build, however the possibility to craft 45 LF4 is not something I could see them getting behind and I don't blame them. Players spend loads of money on uri, and spins, in order to make the gates for a chance at a LF4. Why would they cut their budgets with a guarentee.

  14. If the Recipes were a reward from an Event Quest or similar and a player had to work for the Recipe and the Resources would it not be the same thing? These could a one item craft and one use recipe, once earned you own it (no time limit) and still take forever to get to UFE but it would be another avenue to become UFE without having to become a PAY to PLAY player, heck even your credit ship could benefit from a FREE LF-4, or drone design.
     
  15. If it is just one, yes, but the possibility for all of them in assembly, no matter how much work you put in to get there, no... Remember we are not dealing with time as we are in our other favorite factor, Chance. And the chance comes with the gates. If there was a chance factor in assembly, except for where it applies to material dropping, I would not bother with it at all, and would instead scream for my cargo boxes even more.

Well the CHANCE system is still in place and MOST players have given up on CHANCE and is why a lot of PAYING players are leaving the game, they have spent like their friends and have fallen way behind while their friends have become UFE doing the same things. D O promoted the A.S. as a way to help the FREE player to become UFE (balance the game) and yet I see nothing of the sort in the Event. The items that are Permanent area a JOKE except the EMP-01 but still the effort to Craft it is way out of whack for the actual COST of buying it and all of the other stuff can be won in Auction (for less than 100K credits) with 2 exceptions there (being the MCB-25 and SO-4 extender) which are still winnable for a million credits (most of the time).

    And if you check my signature I do want my Cargo Back even with the new Resources.

DO been giving double gg reward players are getting 2 lf4s or 2herc from 1 gg. so you become ufe faster. now when they made it easier to get more lf4s you guys want it more easy. i am sure if they had lf4s in assembly then also you guys wouldn't have satisfied. not only that the lf4 you get from quest long ago they were not available with quest. do been making it easy and players still not satisfied.

Double Gate Rewards are great IF you know in advance they are coming or have a bunch of gates sitting ready to fly, but how many FREE players are benefiting from this, maybe 1% because they happen to have a gate ready to fly. This was a benefit for those buying Uridium and FARMING G G's not the ones feeling the imbalance of the game.

    They are making it easier for the Pay to Play players, the reason for the A.S. was to help the FREE player as well as the PAY player but what we have seen, it is a benefit to no one as the drop rates are too LOW and the Resources needed are too HIGH and the permanent items are really not worth the effort as they are easily bought in Auction with the exception of ONE item. ALL I am saying is we should have to work to get the Recipes not finding the resources. And if this was designed to decrease the IMBALANCE of the game between P2W and F2P then there should be some of the EXCLUSIVE ITEMS available also.

    You have to remember the FREE players eventually become PAY players if the last long enough to see the benefit of PAYING, but other than Premium and the occasional Rebate or Doubler I do not see any reason to invest in a GAMBLE which is all the CHANCE system is, and the odds of collecting on your investment has been proven to be outrageously high, too much rides on LUCK (which could be linked to how much you spend on the game). You can see it all the time in Chat and Forums how some get almost 100% reward and others are almost 100% nothing, which is not the way to help promote a game.

    they should make recipes for only 1 lf-4 at a time and make it be 1000 scrap and other materials
    after you make 1 you have to be lucky to get/find new recipes
    those players will be on the maps all the time shooting stuff for materials and for recipes

    that is not short cut in any way, thats hard work.
    in my eyes even harder then just siting on 5-3 and making gg's with eeg's.
     
  20. Is it better to have 20 people paying 5 dollars regularly with no chance of growth or is it better to have 200 people paying 1 dollar regularly with a chance to grow? If Bigpoint decides to listen to their customers feedback it will improve the quality of its product, increase customer satisfaction so they will be willing to spend more, and attract new players to the game. Short term small reward VS long term big reward.
