    This improvement idea is based loosely on a comment by whoeva as well as my own experience playing another Bigpoint game, Battlestar Galactica Online.

    In short, our daily missions are poor. The quests themselves aren't very creative and on the whole the rewards for most players really are not worth the effort. I believe what we need in Darkorbit is for the daily quests to be revamped to be similar to the system used on Battlestar Galactica. We have seen in the recent Helix event, when the event missions reappeared, that many players were active in the maps attempting to complete the quests, therefore why can't this happen on a daily basis?

    To those unfamiliar with the BSGO daily missions, every 24 hours you are able to get 10 daily missions where the difficulty and rewards of those missions are largely dependent on the level. Therefore the improved daily quests that i would propose for Dark Orbit would be;

    - Resource Related - 1
    - NPC Related - 7
    - Enemy Related - 1
    - Epic Quest - 1

    Those quests are just some example quests that i came up with on the fly, however what are your thoughts on revamping the daily quests so that;

    a) There are more daily quests
    b) The daily quests have a level of difficulty depending on the player level

  2. I fully support this as I was just thinking about it the other day. It gets boring collecting 40 Terbium in X-3 or killing 30 saimon with just rockets. We need better stuff.

    Its nice, but uridium rewards are too much. You can get 20k uridium per day when you complete all quests. Also newbies wouldnt have a chance to get some less common NPCs like boss sibelon.

  5. +1 loving the idea, a bit too much uri yes.. but good start on your idea!
    that is why i help newbies pop em :p isn't it your duty to show them around too? :)

    --real life situation--
    *looks at quest* (see's shoot saimon with rockets or something for 3 log disks)

    hmm... *gives up* (boxes enough for 3 log disks in 4 minutes)

    true story

  6. Well if you consider the amount of uri a player could get otherwise in that time via boxing or cubing it's not overkill 0.0

    I hope this thread gets some more feedback since the devs appear to be listening to people at the moment.

    I love it quests there are very fun and the fun factor is and could be a major selling point of the game.
    with 3d coming out they do need new players and retain them. This is one good idea needs some tweaking so DO doesn't lose money, but overall 1+ from me.

    On my server during helix event, even your own company popped you just because you was shooting boss sibelon, some players are terrible. Its good idea, but higher levels should have quests on x-5...x-8 only so they wont be popping newbies just because of NPCs.

  10. I like this idea, newbies in lowers and every good player in upper maps. But if the rewards weren't so high like helix was and if it weren't daily then people wouldn't be shooting each other for boss sibelons.

    I would still see strong players in lowers because they have regular quests needing to be done and they will still hunt newbs otherwise, if you remove good players from lowers you have to remove hunting quests from lowers so strong players wouldn't hunt them, we also need quests for strong players in lowers, so that they can protect newbs in same company, but of course half of the time there will be those who kill their own company (Depending on ur server, percent varies) so no matter what your gonna change, something must be sacrificed. Like drone formations!

  11. The idea is good but the uri rewards are a little way off. should lower them somehow but great idea :)

    Well there is nothing wrong with a little more uridium :D. Although if i was to take the extreme end (level 17+), it isn't completely a walk in the park to get the maximum uridium (20k from the 10 quests not including NPC rewards).

    Although i think there was a good point made regarding higher players shooting in the lower maps over an NPC, therefore maybe all the npc quests could change to a tiered system rather than just increasing in the number of npc's required.

    Tier 1 (level 5-11) - streuners, lordakias, saimons, mordons, boss saimons, boss mordon - leading up to devolariums and sibelons

    Tier 2 (level 12-16) - devolariums, sibelons, sibelonits, boss sibelonits, kristallin, boss kristallin - leading up to lordakiums and kristallons

    Tier 3 (level 17+) - lordakiums, kristallons, interceptors, barracudas, saboteurs - leading up to protegits, cubikons and annihilators

    At the end of the day though i think more people would appreciate more difficult daily quests providing the rewards are decent. Providing a balance can be found, i don't see why the game can't reproduce the Helix quest buzz on any day.

    This is a great idea, perhaps more tiers that includes more boss and uber missions without time limits.
