NOTE: (This is subject to change and may be updated frequently. = Recently edited.)
So recently I thought of quite a few new ideas that might help improve the game. So much so, that combining them would be too big of an improvement unless they completely re-did the game (as they have in the past from Darkorbit to Darkorbit Reloaded). Changing from Dark Orbit to Dark Orbit Reloaded was the best improvement they have ever done, it actually INCREASED the amount of players. So how about this (Please read the entire document before you say "WHAT?!?!", each new feature ties in with another to make it all work)...

    Introducing Dark Orbit ReMastered!
We've added a whole bunch of new things in order to keep things fresh including:

    Cross Server Compatibility
Over the years Dark Orbit has lost a few of it's players, in an attempt to combat this, we bring you Cross Server Compatibility! There is now a portal in your company's x-1 map that will allow you to switch servers! Upon jumping you will be taken to the (Demilitarized) 'HUB' Map. In the HUB there are a series of portals that you can jump through to switch servers.

    Ranks
The ranking system has been updated!
(NOTE: What ever server you started on, will be your "Home server" and that is where your rank will come from.) Users that have not logged in for 2 weeks will be removed from the ranking (Until they login again).
Your rank points will still determine where you are at in comparison to others, but now to attain the rank you want you must be in the:
    Top Player General
    Top .25% Basic General
    Top .50% Chief colonel
    Top 1% Colonel
    Top 3% Basic Colonel
    Top 5% Chief Major
    Top 7.5% Major
    Top 10% Basic Major
    Top 15% Chief Captain
    Top 20% Captain
    Top 25% Basic Captain
    Top 30% Chief Lieutenant
    Top 40% Lieutenant
    Top 50% Basic Lieutenant
    Top 60% Chief Sergeant
    Top 70% Sergeant
    Top 75% Basic Sergeant
    Top 80% Chief Space Pilot
    Top 90% Space Pilot
    Bottom 10% Basic Space Pilot

    Savable Configurations
Users now have the option to save up to 2 configurations per-ship! To save a configuration, simply put whatever items you would like on the ship and click the 'Save' Button. To load a saved configuration all you have to do is click the 'Load' Button and you're good to go!
    { OR
    Now your hangar items carry over! What does that mean: Well, instead of having to delete configurations in the hangar, the items can now be used across all of the hangars. (After all, you can only fly one ship at a time) That way you don't have to spend all that time deleting your configurations and putting your items on another ship, instead you're ready to go! Want to warp to your Tartarus for boxing? Now you can, without having to go to the back page to re-configure it!}

    New PvP
Over the years, we have noticed what some of you are calling "UFE Bullying". In other words, new players have a hard time starting because of the veteran players hunting them. In an attempt to fix this we have incorporated a new PvP system. You will no longer receive credit for killing a player that is not within 5 levels of your own. Instead, you will lose 100 rank points (Just like killing the Phoenix ship.) The 5 level rule is voided if you are above level 20. Players above level 20 can also kill any player level 15+. This excludes battle maps.

    Item Trading
All users now have the ability to auction their items! Player Auctions happen once an hour every hour. You can auction anything at the auctions, but only one item is available each hour. (Ex. John is auctioning an LF4 this hour for 1,000,000,000 credits. Sarah tries auctioning one for 750,000,000 credits, but she gets placed in the Que because there is already an auction running with the current item.)

    Additional Drones
Now all players are able to have 10 drones using credits! (You are still only able to have a total of 10, and only 8 may be Iris). Once a user has 8 Iris drones they are then able to purchase two additional Flax drones at an increased price. The 9th drone [flax] would cost 50 Million credits (subject to change) and the 10th drone [flax] would cost 100 Million (subject to change) additional credits. This allows the lower levels to not be quite as under powered, whilst still giving the higher level players a slight advantage.

    Map 5-4
The pirates have a new ally, the Shardion's!
Shardions can be found in the map 5-4 (Through the portal, in the middle of the maze located in 5-3).
Be careful pilot, once you kill a Shardion it will shatter into 4 Fragmite's which will then drop the new resource, Hyptonium.
Hyptonium can be put on your ship to increase your hit points by 10%. (1=10 minutes)
It may also be exchanged at the 5-2 station for a booty key!
As this is a 5-x map, it will also have palladium in the map available for collection as well as the Deadly Battle Ray. But BEWARE pilot, for this map is pitch black (like the Tunnel of Terror) and you can only see as far as your lasers will shoot! Will you venture into the darkness?

    PLD-8
Now, when you get hit by a PLD-8 your targeting systems will visually malfunction (retro mode for 2.5 seconds).

    Upgrades
Upgrades set at 100% will be upgraded instantly because there is no chance of failure.

    Jackpot Dollars
Now you can spend your Jackpot dollars as if they were Real-World currency! (2500 = $5, with the cap remaining at 10000) This means that you can buy premium, subscriptions, and uridium, with IN GAME CURRENCY! However, for every 2500 Jackpot dollars spent, it also costs 100 Million credits. (Keep in mind that if you spend them and win the JPA you will still only receive what is presently on your account.)

    Levels now have meaning!
Your level is displayed on the planet near your name.

There is also a new tab on the back page called Knowledge, it is a lot like the Pilot Bio but instead of log disks, it uses points that you receive for leveling up. You will receive 1 point for every level you gain. These abilities do not give any battle advantages over other players (That way higher levels aren't conquering the lower ones). Instead, these abilities are for more passive benefits that let you progress and gives you a reason to level up! (Resetting your knowledge is the same as the pilot bio, the cost doubles every time) Thee abilities are:

    WORKER:
Decrease resource transport time from Skylab to ship.
    (5 levels: 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%)

    EXPLORER:
Increase the chance of receiving gate pieces from the Galaxy Gate Generator.
    (3 levels: 1%, 2%, 3%)

    EXPERT:
Increase the amount of ammunition received from gate spins.
    (5 levels: 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%)

EFFICIENCY: (Must have EXPERT, and WORKER)
    Increase Skylab production.
    (5 levels: 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%)

PRODIGY: (Must have EFFICIENCY, EXPERT, and EXPLORER)
Increase's the default chance of upgrade.
    (2 levels: 2%, 5%)
Example: With level 2, you can do 10% chance for the price of 5% OR 100% chance for the price of 95%.

MASTER: (Must Have PRODIGY, EXPERT, and EXPLORER)
Decrease the amount of Uridium needed for all purchases.
    (3 levels: 1%, 2%, 3%)

SPECIALIST: (Must have WORKER, EFFECIENCY, and EXPERT)
    Decrease Tech Center production time.
    (3 Levels: 2%, 5%, 10%)

    MILLIONAIRE:
    ALL credit purchases are decreased.
    (3 levels: 2%, 5%, 10%)

    Re-balancing
You no longer need full Havoc's to start receiving the benefits (like Hercules). Now the drones equipped with a Havoc will receive a 10% damage boost [for the lasers equipped within the drone]. NOTE: You still need full Havoc to receive an extra 10% damage for the lasers on your ship.

    Quests
Now there's bigger rewards for quests! With over 35 levels in Darkorbit (Which no one has ever attained), We're giving out MORE Experience to help you get to the top as well as releasing a whole bunch of new quests! Fly on over to mission control to get started!

    Pilot Bio
New and Improved Pilot Bio! You are now able to attain a total of 55 Pilot points and we have added a new skill:

    Scout: Decrease enemy damage.
    (5 levels, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%)

    Clans
Clan war can only be declared on clans that are within 200 ranks of your clan. (This is to stop users from declaring war on smaller clans of their own company just for their benefit.)

There is a new option in the Clan tab that lets you create your own custom clan tag! Choose from one of the following designs and it will show your clan tag in-game. (Allied clan's will have their shields appear Green, NAP clans will appear Yellow, clans at war will appear Red, and neutral clans Blue).

There is now a clan donation center where members can donate their modules to the clan. From there, the modules can be combined in order to upgrade it. (Example: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32
Which would make a total of 272 modules needed to get a base to level 16.) NOTE: Donated modules will then belong to the clan. So if a user leaves, his module stays. If a clan is deleted, the modules will be as well. Also, if a CBS gets destroyed you will need another module to repair it.

The clan CBS now has an option to accept clan quests (only available to leader). Here you can accept some of the new quests that your entire clan can participate in. (Example: Kill 5,000 Kristallions) The reward is then equally divided between the clan members. NOTE: You must have a minimum of 10 clan members and you must contribute at least one point in order to receive the reward.

Not only that, but we're also introducing Clan Battles! Each week there will be a new battle between clans and clan members. (To participate you must be in a clan with 10 or more members, and score a minimum of one point during the competition. Users that leave their clan during the week will be disqualified until the next competition.) The Competitions include: Most Experience gained, Most Honor Gained, Most NPC's (of a certain type) killed, Most Enemy's killed, and many more! The clan that wins will receive 100,000 Uridium (equally divided between the entire clan). Also, the top member in each clan will receive an extra 5,000 uridium! So what are you waiting for? Let the competition begin!

The final product would look something like this:
[IMG] (The rank would have to go near the health bar instead of where the clan tag is now)

    Yei Boxa!
I find your ideas cool but how would u solve the fundamental problems that the game has right now? (i.e ufe bullying/sabotaging)

I'll add a part about only being able to attack players that are within 5 levels of you. (Capped at level 20, after level 20 you can attack any player level 15+ BUT you can still attack any level on battle maps) That way the noobs have a little protection and are able to progress.

How's that? I know it wont completely fix the problem because most players are over level 15, but it will help.

    I am glad u liked it :D

  8. Bo2 for greater shield power
FS3 for greater shield regen (out of combat) but less shield power than Bo2

  9. I love this idea, you could get every payment stuff for FREE? (Event though you would need enough time)
I would rather add a damage cap, because Ufe already "waste" a lot of ammo against Ring formation. This Skill Point should limit you received damage to e.g. 15% of the sum (of your shield and your HP) per second. For example you have 300K HP+shield, an enemy wouldn't deal more than 45 K damage per second to you. Besides newbies wouldn't be popped instantly.

I agree, but at the same time I don't think darkorbit or players would go for that because the players that have spent the uri to upgrade everything already, would have basically wasted uri.

If anyone else has any other implementation Idea's I would love to hear them!

"Darkorbit needs a revamp when it comes to rank system, definitely. But this is caused by Galaxy Gates being too rewarding. The relation between ship kills - galaxy gates should be balanced when it comes to the rank points each gives
This and bigger rewards on missions might make the players fill the maps instead of sitting in galaxy gates all day" - Ajoneitor

    Agree with you m8.

Missions should give way more Honor and XP. And they do fill the maps.

    I am considering adding:
"There is now a clan donation center. Members can donate their modules to the clan. From there, the modules can be combined in order to upgrade it. (Example: 2 Damage modules can be combined to make a level 2, 3 for a level 3 and so on) Donated modules will then belong to the clan. So if a user leaves, his module stays. If a clan is disbanded..."
I need an idea that would solve the question; What happens if a clan gets disbanded?

Well I agree with the donations thing for the clan. But I think making level 2 module out of 2 modules is just not good. WAY TOO CHEAP.
They cost few million in daily auction. I think the craft thing must be more expensive.

What happens when member leaves. Nothing. He DONATED those things. They stay in clan forever. Example:

I decided to donate £200 pounds to Kids Charity. I did it. And then I say. Oh I have changed my MIND??? Please give it back.

Sorry that does not work in any donation.

    Just my opinion

    How about: 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 26 28 30 32
Which would make a total of 272 modules needed to get a base to level 16.

Yes, I agree if the member leaves, but I am asking what happens if the leader deletes the clan? Any thoughts?

Well. If clans are made slightly differently than before and has more meaning to players to be loyal and fight for it. Do special clan quests. Get special clan boosts. Whatever else maybe. Then if the Leader deletes it. It is just unlucky for others. As everything that was in a clan is lost :)

This is again just my opinion :)

How did I insert something I Said in your blue area :p

272 modules to assemble levels seems right. As all clans would want them. And daily prices would rise. So that seems good.
