I disagree, there are huge differences. Most npc's automatically aim for you and hit much harder compared with npc's like Kristallin / Kristallon. Furthermore: it is PVP, so you can't jump away except to pirate maps which makes it even more dangerous. Ubers are also accurate. I agree that farming ubers can be a good source of uridium and what not, but only if you have some really decent equipment.

Anyway, note that farming cubi's is not easy. You need to do it on your own and once again, you need to have decent equipment. But what is decent anyway? I would say something like:

Full lf3
Full b02
15 pilot points (shields, HP and stuff)
seprom
x2, sab
Good ship (Aegis works really well for npc's)

I would say this is the least you should have.

 

i'm fe aegis 14 pp. But i'd rather save my good ammo for ice meteoroids

 

problem with doing cubes is in a lot of cases some people tend to 'claim' them like property. though i can solo a cube, i actually cant because everyone and their brother has the same idea, and with the limit of 4 per company, its pretty busy as it is. what we really need is maps for PvE only. AND NOT GATES! i mean maps that people can just go to without weeks of farming to be there a couple hours and not get shot at by other players. like how bout some 6-x maps? start them off from x-8 base (since anyone lvl 12 and up can be there, and there are plenty of noob missions to get to 12 easily with little harassment)
