[UI] Defense Protocol

    The Protocol I'd like to propose would make the pet position itself at the edge of it's owners weapons range between the owners ship and the target. Unlike the guard mode where the pet just fires on the target attacking your ship this protocol would place the pet in a more aggressive defense position between the target and the location of it's owners ship.

    At level 1 it defends against the NPC targeted by the owners ship.
    Suggested price of 10k uri.

    At level 2 it gives the pet a 5% damage boost and defends against the NPC targeted by the owners ship and continues attacking that NPC until it is destroyed.
    Suggested price of 25k uri.

    At level 3 it offers a 7% damage boost for the pet and defends against the NPC targeted by the owners ship or the hardest hitting NPC firing on the owners ship and continues attacking that NPC until it is destroyed even if the owner has or is targeting something else.
    Suggested price of 40k uri.

    If there is no target chosen by the pets owner it reverts back to just the guard mode with the exception of level 2 and 3 that would continue to offer the damage boosts for the pet.

    Levels 1 and 2 would never be purchased as they are not practical for a player who is building up, level 3 would just be another toy for the UFE's to go and kill noob's with X-1 ammo thus tipping the balance of the game even further. It is balance we need in the game and not more killing power.

    Let's clear the air about the notion of anything being an UFE toy to torment others with.

    YES it can be used that way but downing any idea for that reason is just plain weak like saying "a botter can exploit this" since all things entering or just being in the game has the possibility of being exploited.
    UFE can use Lf-2's to lethal ends against lesser pilots.

    If it is balance you seek from the game, you should target all the tools that improve the game experience for the ones that can afford them.
    Not just the possible ones here in forum.
    Target the tools that use them against the weak by making threads to protect the "noobs" as you put it.

    Is it your intention for true balance to reign by reducing everyone to just shop equipment and destroying the bio abilities as well as the tech center abilities all designs and all ability ships as well as upgrades to have your balance?

    That is what it is going to take, I will be expecting to see that thread soon from you.
    In this thread at hand would it sate you if the tech listed only targeted npc's?
