[UI] Design pet to attach to ship while using the protocols to enhance speed,shields,lasers etc.

  1. Allow pet to attach to ship during alien hunting,galaxy gates,etc.The ship would be enhanced with a percentage of the pets protocols, levels 1 -3. I think for those like me that may have purchased ALL of the protocols they should be used more,and it would keep the pet from being accidentally destroyed.This idea is up for modification.
     
  2. For some odd reason I like this. Maybe your ship could have some kind transformation animation. Could you expand on this.

    I thought only players could kill the pet.
     
  4. Sorry for delay in response. On certain boards(quite a few of them) the pet can be locked on and destroyed by
    the pet owner! Whether accidental or intentional,also there are cons in place to discourage this behavior! Check out the forum for more detailed information on this. Thanks for the input
     
  5. IF not in a group YES the PET owner can accidentally lock and destroy a low health (kami) PET, and they suffer the consequences of loss of honor for destroying a friendly PET.

    The P.E.T is already a powerful tool as it is and being able to attach it to a ship to use some of it protocols would throw the game even further out of balance. Many players with fully leveled P.E.T 's shoot there own P.E.T's to bring down its HP before going into a Galaxy Gate so they can use kami in the gate. In normal PvP a fully leveled P.E.T maxed out with lasers, Shields and HP is deadly.
     
  7. Thank you for all replies. I still say attach pet to ship! Please,explain how "attaching pet to ship would throw game out of balance even further". For who? Maybe I am missing something,I play and put money on this game to conquer aliens, complete missions,gates and whatever events that come along! Not to be held up at a port because players of another company is at the port with full hercs/havocs in groups of 2 or more making kills on noobs shooting 50k and higher in whites on noobs, is this the "IMBALANCE"you're referring to? I'm quite sure it is not! In order for players who don't have the full hercs/havocs to have any chance at completing missions,quests/events then we should have access to better defense mechanisms! Thanks for all replies

    A P.E.T below level 8 cannot use level 3 gear and protocols and level 2 gear and protocols do not cut the mustard for there price so in end effect only those with high level P.E.T's could take advantage of attaching a P.E.T and sharing its protocols thus those players with UFE status and level 15 P.E.T's would have even more power so you would be held up in port even longer when other company's enter the map looking for mission fodder, this would put the balance further out of sync.

Thank you, for taking time to explain,this makes everyone's comments clear as a bell.That doesn't mean the idea can't be used in the gates,where only the player would benefit(the kami level 3 automatically flying to alien cluster to detonate rather than being guided by ship into alien cluster). I still think that it would be nice idea to have the ship/pet attachment animation/design. Thanks to all who took part in this discussion, Regards
