[UI] Designs without bonuses.

First for beggining, sorry for my bad english

Now... all cosmetic stuff, such as drone designs (bats, reapers, these new frost) that doesen't have any bonuses, ship designs too (The new "Absolute zero" design, frozen goli, The silver, bronze and gold designs from the UBA).
I think will be way better if we can use those designs over other designs which give bonuses.

For example, when you put hercules, to have their bonuses, and to be able to put second designs that are without bonuses, just for better look, so there will be point of buying the colored bats, reapers and others.
And the same thing with goliath designs
For example, You're playing with spectrum (or not spectrum, bastion or enforcer), and you put Silver as secondary design, again just for better look. Also the football designs, kick over spectrum. You have the look of that cool green design Kick, 10% more shield, and the ability of spectrum which is million times helpful from... nothing.

I really like most of the cosmetic items in the game, but when you have no bonuses from them, its pointless to spend money or time for them because you cant use them in fight. I care not only for my ship, to be stronger, upgrades and other stuff like that, i really care about the look of the designs i am using, for ship and drones (i awlays use the option to see my drones).
My favourite design for goli is Silver. But after i saw it will be without bonuses, i just give up from trying to get it, it will be poinltess for me to fight with it, so i want to use my spectrum while i am fighting, but in the same time to have the cool looking Silver design.
I really hope one day this will be really in game.. its not only me who want it, many other players do too! I heard that soon we will be able to put the drone designs without bonuses over hercules, havoc and demon. I am not sure is it really true, because of that i writted it here too.

To be able to choose from 5% dmg or 10% shield, on all designs that are without effects.
When you open the window with designs (in the equipment) next to the name of the design to have something like to two icons, one for dmg, one for shield, and all you need would be to click on one of the icons and you're ready...
Much more players will start buying the cosmetic stuff in the game, just to have better 'skins' on drones, on goliath.
And when more players will buy these items, that is just more money for BP, but...

I dont want to wirte another post, so i will say it in this one.
The point on the minimap from your pet.
Its so annoying when you fight with these "emp cloack players" and when they put the camouflage, you start looking on the minimap to find him, but you see only one big dot from my stupid P.E.T.
So, i want to be option in the interface menu in the settings, to change the point from the pet on the minimap, to small, green, like a friendly ship, or the current one.

I hope there will be people who agree with me, if someone want to say something about this idea, just do it!

I like the idea of stacking a COSMETIC ONLY (skin) on a Specialty Design and allowing the skins on drones on top of the Hercs and Havoc designs but do not think it would be good on the regular Goliath designs like Bastion, Enforcer, Exalted, or Veteran or any of those that give information of what the bonus is from its coloring. But making a Venom Jade colored I think would look cool.

 

My post is similar, and suggests the tools to, design, build & customise your ship from A HUGE! range of items....It isn't rocket science, just hard work for Big Point. (they will eventually do it, the game has to survive)...

Hm, many people in the bulgarian forum said me, that they wont be able to see which special function the enemy will have.

I like the idea but the main problem would be that it would be much harder to estimate the strengt of your enemy. Imagen I make myself look like a normal goliath, but that it suddenly turns out I'm diminsher as well, crushing your ship out of nowhere. I feel like this would make people even more cautious and make them sit at portal all day long...

For your second idea, I would definitely have to agree, it's really annoying. I also would like to see different colors for the rest: groupmembers (purple) and maybey even NPC's and players.

 

Again the problem of adding a skin to a NORMAL Goliath design will not work, the designs are specific for what it does. Doing skins to the SPECIALTY is acceptable as we all know what the ship does you have just changed its color, the ship will still be the same shape, this would also allow the Pussat and Lightning Vengeance to add a skin to them but not the regular designs. The ship has to have a hull change showing what bonus it gets to be able to use a skin on the ship along with the design otherwise you think you are attacking a naked Goliath and they actually have extra damage or shield and now you bit off more than you wanted in a fight. However the Boosters do this for you also.

 

Indeed, we shouldn't be making it even harder to estimate the strength of your enemies. This sounds more like a disguise option... that could be awesome but only for a spearhead ^^

 

No by being able to add the Non-Boosting Designs (skins) to the Specialty Designs it allows us to Customize those ships so we are not all flying the same color, can't you see a Bronze Venom flying around? The ship retains the design shape but takes on the color of the skin, this giving you the option to add the skins when using the Specialty designs and opens up more options for the Vengeance by creating some skins for them to use also.

 

It sounds cool but it also sound like a really really really really really lot of work for the designers. Time which they might as well invest in something else. Besides, since most people already have all the designs, bigpoint can't even charge us with prices like 200K per design and so they won't make any profit. It is just like the new ICE designs, useless!

 

Just a change in the Hangar design section and an overlay for the existing skins to adapt to ship shape instead of strictly the Goliath shape. Yes I agree ICE design along with the GHOST ship chip were USELESS, but they did seem to get some wallets open, so it was a success in D O's eyes, they seem to only be interested in making things to help drain the players pockets instead of making changes to try to stop the bleeding of players leaving the game permanently (I know several players, after 5 years of playing have left D O to never return) as they have gotten tired of continually falling backwards with the advancement of those using cheats to gain their status increase, this after reporting issues with EVIDENCE and nothing done about it. Sorry this got off topic.

 

Seems to me like you want chirurg skin for spearhead and stuff. I agree, it sounds awesome but as long as there are no fair bonusses, it makes no sense and it´s just a waste of time. Updates like those will not help to solve the problem of leaving players. I feel like we need fair play for new ones, and new designs that allow you to play by a different style but NOT ONE THAT IS OP. But I feel like we helped the designers enough, wright now it´s really up to them if darkorbit will be the next out of many games that has to shutdown (Xblaster, Merc Elite and so on?). Let's just hope for the best...
