[UI] Drone Design For Newbies

Seeing how the drone designs now are focused on all around DMG/Shields I would like to see a drone design on PvE only This drone design would give you a Buff only on NPC's.

Effects

• 1% extra EXP per drone design equipped
• 1% extra Honor per drone design equipped
• 0.5% extra damage on NPC's per drone design equipped

This drone design wouldn't effect the rewards given from Quest, Gates, and PvP kills. This drone design would only effect rewards given by NPC's. The way you can get these drone designs would be from Crafting or buying them in the shop.

Crafting recipe

• 2 High-Frequency Cable
• 20 Scrap
• 10 Schisim

The in Wing formation would only work if at least 1 onf the drone designs are equipped. The effect would increase the Drone designs by 0.5% per drone design of all extra effects listed above. The way to get this formation is to buy it or craft it

Crafting recipe

• 2 Hybrid Processor
• 150 Scrap
• 20 Schisim

i got confused at first coz i saw a formation, i think you should edit your title and just put drone design only without the formation.

i agree with this kind of drone design for newbies, an increased damage for npcs per drone and that is 4% more damage only, 8% more exp and 8% more honor, i said this because a newbie can only afford 8 iris drones at that time and not with the capability of acquiring early access to apis and zeus (some pays, but its pretty neat for the extra exp without penalties unlike the X-Formation)

Good point on the X-Formation. I did change the name of the title so its less confusing. This is a good for all players big and small especially those guys who are close to the next level and need the extra buff. I forgot to add in the boost for a max 10 drone so I'll do it now so people doesn't hae to do the math.

10 Drone Designs w/o formation

• 10% Extra EXP from NPC's
• 10% Extra Honor from NPC's
• 5% Extra DMG to NPC's

10 Drone Designs With formation

• 15% Extra EXP from NPC's
• 15% Extra Honor from NPC's
• 10% Extra DMG to NPC's

 

They should work at this point...more damage against NPCs.

We have already a damage formation: Drill. A new idea/feature shouldn't fulfil the same role as the old stuff. These effects should rather be a upgrade for another drone formation (but maybe only 5% more damage?). Or they create a new kind of items (instead of the in Wing formation) which need an additional slot.

 

Drone design for newbies that you can craft is a non starter with the drop rates of crafting materials as they are only the top flight players would be able to craft them and with the DO pricing system they would be far to expensive for newbies with all the other things needed to advance in the game. To obtain schism you need to complete GG's on Obsidian days and newbies do not have enough EE or the equipment to bash out gates.

 

Aries is right, i didn't know that you need schism crystal for this to craft.. didn't really read your post i only schemed it for a while because i was in a hurry last time.

i would suggest to add this on the new beginners gate that i have a thread posted where newbies below a certain level can enter and exclusively available only to them if they finish the mission holding the cpu to activate the gate on their home map.

or maybe just reward it right after the rewarding of the free package for newbies that contains 2 weeks premium, uri, some elite items and ammo.

if you give newbies some of the goodies that they see from the other players who has like drone designs, and an iris, they might be willing to play the game and check it out for a few days to see if they like the game.

giving out more good stuff for the newbs will surely make a difference, D.O should buy in more players in the game not lose more for a little amount of money those botters pay for doubler and rebate.

How do noobies get schism crystals?......20 scrap is tuff to get for me and I'm close to ufe.
Why not just make it a quest item for killing sibs and make them only effective in lower maps.

 

i suggest giving the drone designs beforehand when giving on the newbie package after the mission they are first given to receive it.

giving them atleast 4 and then handing out 4 more missions to receive the item is surely a good plan to do.

Yea maybe some of the beginner quest could give the new player the stuff to get these drone designs and formation. The first few levels are easy for a new player but getting to the upper maps is difficult and if the can have these drone designs they would be more capable of getting that up boost to help them kill the NPC's for their quest. Thank you guys for all the kind suggestions.

There could be a change in the introduction quest to give the new players the drone designs or the resources to build them. Thats a possibility.

Sounds like the start of a good idea.
However, if it is to be a newbie related item, then using a craft recipe with Schism seems a lot too steep a item.
Also, 150 scrap is a huge total for newbies. I am sure they would be well past the newbie status before they collected that amount.

 

I agree with you, it is better if the crafting materials would be of H-HFC, H-HP or H-PS instead or H-NCA, like the permanent blueprint of the lava and poison pusat drone designs, but still it will enable the player to atleast buy them on shop if they are interested, or just give them a whole set like 8 or 10 of them for just 1 craft and the blueprint should be a 1 time use for all the players in the game.

at that time, they are still atleast almost at FE status, and that status is easily reached in just a matter of weeks depending on the server, but most of the time just 2 weeks or a month to get there.
