  1. So, apparently the reasoning for the Leonov's inability to provide bonuses beyond X-4 maps is due to the fact that it is too far away from home base to receive power to ramp up it's stats.

However, there's also a base in X-8 maps, so doesn't it make sense that it could draw power from there too?

Hence my suggestion. Allow the Leonov it's full bonuses from maps X-1 to X-8 of your own company. This does not include PvP or Pirate maps, like before.

The Leonov has become a bit useless now. From what I've seen, personally, nobody really hunts in lower maps anymore. The ship is only useful for new players, therefore it doesn't really live up to its reputation of being "very deadly", does it?

    Thanks for reading.

  2. The Leo is a great ship as you are coming up the ranks and lowers is hunted all the time. Lots of players use it to defend lowers for the new guys. I know some players who never get out of it and you never know where in lowers they may pop up to save the day. As you go further into space, you have lots of other options to use. Personally I spend all my time in either my aegis or my spearhead, and the spear has less firepower than the leo, but I run around with the leonov's in lowers as we help protect the maps from those hunting goliaths and vengy's. There is plenty of firepower in uppers without adding to the range of the leo. Lets keep that ship down low. o_O

  3. i agree with darth cause it does make sense cause there is a base in uppers so y not make it for uppers as well

  4. but only one map over so no advantage in x-5.

we debated this plenty of times ,want a stronger ship ? get one , the leo is only for the lower maps .end of it

    GHOSTofMarz and -Tom_Sawyer- like this.
  6. I would vote for it to stay as it is. No need to give it the upper maps too. The reason why most of the new players don't sit on lower maps is either:
    • too many UFEs are hunting them
    • they all want from beginning to kill Kristallons. :)
Well, they need to advance first and then kill Kristallons. :)

  7. I agree with most of the other posts. Leos are meant to help people new to the game get a ship that is as good as goliath but with a lot less items required because of its double boosts. By the time you can access your x-8 map you should be able to have a goliath, so i dont really see the need to extend leo to x-8. Also pvp/pirate maps are not for new players so they shouldnt have a leo by the time they want to venture there or at least have a cloak for pvp maps to box a bit easier.

  8. A leo in its own uppers even with its same stats as lowers is a dead fish in the water. Its slower than a citadel, yeah its got dmg but you cant run too well when you get more ships shooting you than that max hp boost can handle...Maybe leo needs a design to bring it back up to its old client habits ;) a great starter ship it once was...still good for 1v1 but a swarm of moth and its time to bail.Since most people run more people are using moth configs for quicker kills

    LoyaltyΛboveΛllLaws likes this.
  9. I Agree, the point of the leo is to remain in the lowers for that bonus. If you want something stronger, then get a stronger ship, a vengie, or something along those lines. the purpose of the leo is to give you a small advantage in lowers when facing the enemy, hence its considered to be a beginner ship and as you get better and higher in rank, you then change ships.
