[UI] FEMALE TITLES

I have noticed, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, that there are NO female titles in this game.
I understand it may be a bit of a problem to revamp things, and make them gender specific.
I was just wondering if I'm the only one who would like to see something like, "Mistress of Dark Orbit", or "Dominatrix", "Emperess of Hades", "Gate Princess",... something like that.
I'd love any and all feedback.

D O could be a little more Politically Correct, but then some Gentlemen would not attack a Lady and then there is the issue of it being a gender free game as the Ships are not customized to a Ladies desires either. I would support the CHOICE to apply gender to the titles, maybe have a selection in the Account that would allow the game to add Pilot License information to the Achievement, Galaxy Gate, and Game Titles so it would be more gender specific.

 

Ok yeah, that's all I was saying, just give us a CHOICE. I mean, if you saw someone with a "Madam" title on their ship and didnt feel like fighting, you also need to remember, it's a pvp game,... I at least understand this. I'm sure the others (female) would agree also that we're just as tough (if not tougher) than the male players. It would also be a bragging rights thing too, lol.

 

Could be part of the reason to keep it NON GENDER so the poor guy could keep his ego intact, I got beat by a GIRL after all is not a good rep to carry around. LOL

 

But, currently, it's totally MALE gender centric. Emporer of Hades, Master of whatever, King so-and-so, Dominator, et al. That's why I was wondering if there could be FEMALE specific, or FEMALE possibile choice. Again, just wondering about everyones thinking here. I'd like to hear from a female on this, if possible.

 

Like I say I support it and as most of you assign "GIRLY" names to your Ships we know if we are dealing with a female and many really do not care as you chose to play the game and the gender really is not specific when playing in a game. Good Luck getting D O's ear in this.

 

I agree to a certain extent. Like HelpMeHelpYou says, when gamers know you are female they tend to treat you differently. just yesterday i was in a league match and we had a discord channel set up for our team. when a girl joined, everyone started acting differently. i think this change should happen, but people should beware the consequences.

Personally I think it's an area you should not even begin to enter. As we see , WAY TO MUCH TODAY, There is constantly someone who is whining about something because it does not fit their perfect little world. My gender is this, My age is that, My orientation is otherwise, My religion believes this way, on and on and on and on! Give it a break!

 

How many males all ready play pretending to be female so that they get help from ALL the chivalrous "men" in this game..........
This game has a large list of glitches that need to be addressed before an issue like this.
Butt do add it to the list. "Number being currently served #313......"

 

I agree! But at the same time, if you can make it through 19 levels of this game w/o any help from any clans/players in this game being female, THERE SHOULD BE SOMETHING MORE THAN A MALE DOMINATING TITLE AS A REWARD !!!

I believe we should have a chose too. If you want to display your gender then do so.

Maybe DO could add more designs too. I wouldn't mine flowery designs. I'm a avid gardener and a master gardener. So we have many plants inside as well as out side. Even thought I'm male, my wife love flowers too as well as a master gardener too.

Because it's mostly men that play DarkOrbit. It's just a very simple fact, males play games more than females do. Also, oh dear another red clan member, you aren't gonna be another one to give me a lecture on how overpowered moth is are you?

EDIT: I don't know about any other dudes that play, but I'd find it extremely uncomfortable if titles addressing females were released, it would turn the game into some sort of sex equality act instead of you know, A GAME. I also disagree, I don't care if you're male or female, if we're enemy companies you're gonna die the same as anyone else (unless you're new to the game, I genuinely give new people a lot of priority of not being shot).

 

To keep it really gender neutral, remove all gender explicit or implying words in a title..... keep everyone guessing; lords and ladies....

 

I don't think they made "lord" with genders even in mind so your argument is invalid. A lord doesn't have to be male, but it usually is.

I don't even see the problem with this, I think it's fine because no one really thinks about it, until now I never even thought about that. I think it's a silly suggestion to bring up. If DarkOrbit introduces female titles, I'd consider that as sexist. I think just this idea is really sexist, suggesting that the game is male intensive.

 

Sorry Λℓмоѕт•Fαмоυѕ, the comment was meant to be mostly sarcasm to show what a silly arguement it was to start. However, looking through the books (quickly) I could not find a female lord, unless it is accepted that Lady was the title.

As to invalid, it is not. The title, as given, was gender specific, as given, back in the early times. They probably would not have used a term like gender-specific, but the intent was there as females were not generally dealt with on the same level.

So, the sarcasm comes in to play with how things are viewed now. Not really much different at all.

My mistake was saying anything in this regard as not everyone "get's it" .

Well, it took more than 30 years for"WASP" Women Airforce Service Pilots to receive acknowledgement as "Military Pilots" for their contributions in WW2. This game uses "military style tactics", I just don't see asking for consideration for female titles to be "sexiest"
I would like to ask this - how about giving us(female gender) a title color option yellow for those who like it as is and pink or other agreed color?

 

You read these posts and those made after mine and my point becomes quite clear.
