    The proposal I'd like to make is for GG to either stop offering modifiers for the gates until the gate is fully completed by making the pieces build up in perfect numerical order or to offer 6 gate pieces every time the modifier is raised to x6 and lost because the gate is not complete.

    I have also noticed when I get to x6 for the next jump it doesn't apply, it remains there till the next time I must build up that gate and it is instantly lost.
