Not sure if this has been suggested before..

So, in most MMO's there is a "healer" role, I usually chose this role as I enjoy them, So i saved up and purchased an Aegis. Sure, the ship is awesome and I enjoy supporting everyone, but when cooldowns are on I feel fairly useless.

I suggest Healing Ammunition, that heals the allied target for a portion, say 50-70%(Just a figure) of the regular damage. To balance it out, the ammunition could be say, for the Aegis only, the ammo could also cost Uridium maybe, to limit it's use.

    What do you guys think?

    EDIT: Perhaps hull healing only?

What would be interesting is if the target of this ammo weren't the one getting healed but the source of damage to the one getting healed instead.

Say there is a powerful enemy or alien dealing damage to a company, clan, ally or outfit member, you fire this ammo at the enemy or alien and they're suddenly healing instead of harming with their attacks. I believe this would be a suitable addition to the Aegis. Limiting this ammo to non enemy maps would probably be necessary.

  3. No. This exists for yourself already, and it's called energy leech.

No that is an ability, this thread is referring to an ammo.

  5. Still it would be pointless. I'm presuming you meant 50-70% of normal x1? In that case you'd have to be Ufe to make it worth it. And if you're Ufe you could kill the enemy killing your bud faster than you would heal it. I'm sorry but I don't see the point

Not everyone is UFE or even has access to UFE players at all times genius.
Your logical blindness is not understandable, how long have you played the game much less been a forum member with this problem of yours?

  7. Playing 6 years. Not that that is relevant what I meant is the best a fe could do with this ammo is stop a guy from dying by sibelon and the best a Ufe could do is keep someone from dying from a BK

From just that alone without using the other abilities an Aeges has and you don't see the point???
    Wow.

  9. Unless you had no ammo but x1 this would yes, from my viewpoint be useless.

The point is to allow the Aegis (Support ship) to support whilst abilities are down, the 50-70% was just a figure, and rather small at that, not really sure what a balanced number would be.

  11. It would have to be a lot higher than that to be decent. The problem is how it is now is you could help kill the enemy quicker than you could heal your ally dying.example. two golis fighting and you're the aegis, you hit 10k x1. It would be better to hit the enemy with a 130k combo than repair your buddy for 5k-7k damage.

The way I see it happening is when or if the healing ability is in cool down, click the tab anyway before firing to use the heal aspect and then fire. Have the healing cool down reset if the ship survives or start instantly if the targeted ship or your ship is destroyed. also place a cool down on the ammo for both possible outcomes.

  13. It would still be useless though. And if it was allowed to be affected by ammo type then the ability selected should stay at top cooldown until it's not used anymore. E.g. you use x4, ability is on cd, you click it, then you heal for 40k shield or hp, then it stays at 1:20 cd or 2 min cd until you stop using it, as a toggle, or am I misinterpreting?

Nope that's right, but that would assist in any attempts to abuse this ability by also putting a cool down on the ammo use as well.

i like it, say you come across somebody taking down a BK and is almost dead a few shoots and he's finished his mission "cool"
    1+ from me
