[UI] Helix LF-4 Day Clarification

Bigpoint thank you for this wonderful event you have added. I think you could make it better by changing the name as it misleads people sometimes. I think you should change it to,

"LF-3, SG3N-B02, AND G3N-7900 DAY".

I really do like this LF-3 AND SG3N-B02 DAY. I mean who needs LF-4's when I need LF-3's and B02's on my other ships.

So just change the event name and I'm sure that EVERYONE will be happy. I mean spending 1,500 Uridium on booty keys and getting LF-3's and B02's are better than spending 10,000 Uridium, or spending 1 million to 100 million credits.

It's down to luck. Nobody is making you spend your uri on keys.

 

Yeah we all know its's down to luck and know one's putting a gun to our heads but something needs to be done.
Last 2 helix days 300 keys got me 7 LF-3's, 11 speed gens, 5-shield gens and 1 LF-4. Personally Ive done 2000
plus keys over the last year and a half. Out of that only 4 LF-4's but have enough LF-3's,speed gen and shield
gens to build 3 FE ships. Its just a real shame that you have players out there that have opened 2 to 3k in keys
to get 30 to 45 LF-4's and others that only get 4 or 5 for the same amount. We don't need multiple FE ships. We
need LF-4's, Herc's and Havocs. Bottom line DO If it says LF-4 day give us LF-4's Not a bunch of dam LF-3's

 

Big point needs to Publish the % chance of these items. I got 2 LF4s the other day for 40 keys so maybe I just got lucky!

 

There is a mystery variable for the calculation, that nobody should no! Perhaps dependant on the money you spend for DO?

Yeah, nice LF-"3"-day. Note for beginners, who buy many BK: Don't spend so much Cre to get full LF-3 and B02...

 

lol i agree, i used 100keys on lf4 day, 40keys on zeus, and like 100on normal days, and i got no lf4, only got 1 apis drone part, just impossible to get it
BP, you should realy at least tripple the chance of getting lf4 and double chance of drone parts

been a while since I posted or even played DO but this link should give you your chances on what LF4 or helix day does to you!

Instead of INCREASING the chances of winning LF4 DO may just instead DECREASE your chances in winning ammo by a small fraction and take that fraction part of LF4 if you ever land your luck in that fraction you will win a LF4

Of course this is a theory and it may seem that the coding makes us win LF3 and BO2 more, just know that somewhere in time and space that the devs were drunk when coding these events so there will be no given % on your winnings, people have been begging for the chances and the devs never come clean, this game is supposed to be a game of chance and risks now days (2015-2015) so GL go make your own chart, follow what you believe in. To me chances of LF4 are 1/3 but humans are just so so so so so so so so so very so so so so very very on very planet so so so so unlucky that it seems that getting an LF4 would be a 1/100,0000,000 chance.

 

I love the decreasing chances finding ammo. "Helix LF-4 Day, very less chance of receiving Xenomit, Laser Ammo, and 1 hour boosters!"

 

When you find yourself at a place where you have more than enough LF-4's guys, you'll honestly laugh at how desperate we all were once for LF-4's.
Believe me people, you will get all the number of LF-4's you want lol.
I know a friend who got 13 LF-4's from less than 300-350 keys ( spent the uri he got from Zetas and put into booties and saved up so when time came, He could just spend a small amount of 1.59 for Rebate and 5£ for prem.
I've personally had x amount of Bo2's and Lf3s to make my Vengi, citadel , aegis, Fe after selling over 100+ lf3s and bo2s lol imagine that frustration of seeing a message appear "You have recieved a LF...3"

 

I don't know if is possible to receive 10 LF-4 from 100 boty keys.

 

last lf4 day i got 2 lf4s from 6 keys i logged out and bought a lotto ticket no luck though

 

Please do realize that this was an example, not exact percentages. If I have 2 red apples, 1 green, and 1 yellow then on green apple day where chances increase two folds, one of the apple has to vanish, and its most likely the red apple. and give another green apple in selection. of course you could always do 1.5 red apples, 2 green, .5 yellow, the possibilities are endless. IT WAS AN EXAMPLE not exact percentages.

 

The percentages vary from Player, map and server. thats why sometimes you will see someone spamming chat with lf4's and sometimes someone will use 1000 keys and get nothing. Hope this helps.

 

i honestly think that when the booty box spawns the loot is preset and stays until someone picks up that box so if this is the case the % is on the box itself not the player . So in a sense there could be 10 lf4s sitting in booty boxes in game at one time but the map your in all the boxes have junk this would explain the 300 keys and no lf4s and the 4 out of 100 keys on another player. I try to stay in the same map and make the boxes spawn by finding most in the map been doing alright this method.

 

Just to add my thought on this thread:
I used approx 240 keys during the last two days(zeus and helix events) and guess what? I received 4 zeus parts which were the only thing I actually needed....other than that 0 lf4s, LOADS of ammos and boosters, 5 lf3s, 2 speed gens, 1b02 and other worthless crap....so yeah how about the devs took a look onto the case cause this is truly abnormal...on my account I've opened roughly 450-500 booties and only ever got 1 lf4, no skill design or anything whatsoever
P.S The numbers I gave are NOT an exaggeration

 

Like i stated in an earlier comment, percentages vary vastly... one person might get 5-10 lf4's out of 100 keys and another may get 0 out of 1000.

 

So if I have bad luck in Booties on my current account, should I create a new account (maybe with a higher chance at LF4 in Booties)?

 

I guess this could be true but for some reason every time I pick up a booty I always feel like
I just pulled the handle on a one armed bandit. Funny thing is during this Helix event on last
Booty key, no uri left and no will to play any longer, found 1 LF-4. I felt then

 

We all know it's down to luck but with all the frustration of so many players spending uri they've worked hard for or in some cases even real money...I can see why so many people quit

 

I wouldn't do that because losing everything on your old acc just for 1 or maybe if your lucky 2 lf4's is not worth it. if your gonna spend money to get keys I would advise you to stick with your main acc and do zetas and epsilons. hades also if you can find people to do them with you.
