  1. Currently there's a bit of an epidemic of cyborgs, as it's passive, gen+wep and ability make it the best pvp ship and the best pve ship.

To fix this, an upgrade system could be implemented for all ships (some exceptions).

The enforcer for example, could have 3 upgrades available:
    +1 laser (100 indoctrine oil, 4 hybrid processors, 3 micro-transistors, 7 nano-condensors)
    +1 generator (100 indoctrine oil, 4 hybrid processors, 3 micro-transistors, 7 nano-condensors)
    +5% damage (100 indoctrine oil, 4 hybrid processors, 3 micro-transistors, 7 nano-condensors)

Ships such as the spectrum, solace, diminisher, and sentinel would have the same upgrade options available, but would also have their own abilities available to upgrade for an increased cost:
    + ability upgrade (150 indoctrine oil, 8 hybrid processors, 6 micro-transistors, 9 nano-condensors)
Cooldown for all upgraded abilities is increased to 270s

    Sentinel ability (upgraded):
+50% damage reduction to shields, +20% shield absorption OR +100% shield regeneration (passive and active?)

    Solace ability (upgraded):
+50% health and shields to self (25% to group) OR if you/groupmates have full health, excess heal becomes temporary nanohull for 20-30 seconds OR for 20-30 seconds after heal, damage to hull is reduced by half

    Spectrum ability (upgraded):
In addition to the base ability, 50% of damage taken from lasers is redirected at the shooter/in an aoe pulse

    Diminisher ability (upgraded):
In addition to the base ability, damage dealt versus hull is increased by 20-30% OR enemy speed is reduced according to their shield health

  2. if that happens cyborg will be useless. and all cyborg users will go back to goli.

  3. Useless how? It maintains the global high damage increase, 16 gens and lasers, and an ability.

  4. Why not make all ships indestructible then everyone will be happy? (just kidding)

  5. Cyborg isn't the best ship for anything, it's just simple to use and any braindead player can win with it vs a lot of ships that aren't surgeon or confident goliath fighters.

I wish they would upgrade the enforcer and those ships, it would bring back some varity into the game but like the other guy said, it would make all that time grinding for Cyborg in Qzone pointless.

To be honest, I like this idea because it would mix up the game and no one would know what is good for a while until it has been tested but eventually the issue will be that everyone will figure out what the strongest is and we will be in the same situation except cyborg is no longer used because the Enforcer can do what it does.

  6. Maybe so, there will always be "the best" ships, avoiding that is near impossible in any game - I'm simply proposing an idea to make options more viable.

Also - I fail to see how it would make all the time grinding for cyborg useless - none of the basic designs would have the ability, and the advanced designs were more spitballing than anything. Yes maybe the company ships have 2% more pvp damage than cyborg, but it's only for pvp and again, lacks the ability. Yes the surgeon would have 11% global, but again no ability. I'm simply (as a cyborg user) tired of the complete lack of variety - which can only be attained by putting yourself at a damage, shield, and speed disadvantage.

  7. Totally disagree for now.
If they do this everyone will back to sentinel (like when Ability CD was 30 sec and ppl was spamming it).

The upgrade idea is great, but in this way i dont like it (i have all ships and billions of oil etc).

Actually the ships are structured in this way:

LOW-Tier (same L/G and passive bonus):
    - pusat
    - exalted
    - veteran
    - bastion
    - enforcer
    - goliath
    - goliath x
    - centaur
    - saturn
    - kick
    - referee
    - ignite
    - vanquisher
    - sovereign
    - peacemaker

    MID-Tier (passive + 1 activable skill)
    - sentinel
    - venom
    - solace
    - diminisher
    - spectrum
    - surgeon (like low tier + 1 more gen)

ADV-MID (passive + more activable skills)
    - aegis
    - cittadel
    - sperhead
    - tartarus
    - mimesis

    HIGH TIER (improved ships)
    - cyborg (venom improved)
    - centurion (same L/G as cyborg)
    - hammerclaw (aegis improved)
    - hecate (cyborg alternative)
