[UI] how you could make becoming UFE easier

    from what ive seen, the issue of being UFE isnt so much the gap from FE to UFE,
    i think it should be that big of an effective difference considering how much actual difference there is between FE and UFE.

    my idea to make UFE easier:
    make LF4s 100% in some shape or form. wether it be putting it in the shop (not the auction, that would be terrifying considering how much the farther along folk could put up for it vs noob affordability)
    what i was thinking is put them in the shop, but not for more than 30k uridium because of how much difference it actually makes (lf3 being 10k uri, i dont see an lf4 being really worth 50k because its not 5x the value when its 5x the price)
    also it would be rude to price it that high considering an UFE ship needs at LEAST 21 (thats an UFE phoenix, without the pet) and at most, for 1 hangar, 45. and there are 10 hangars to go for right now so thats quite a few LF4s

    also upgrade prices could use a decrease, not drastic, but significant. i was thinking an over all 25-30% price cut would be very helpful for upgrades especially on the 14,15,16 upgrades.

    my last idea to make UFE more accessible to the less fortunate would be to create a PvE only map, and NOT A GATE. well, not a galaxy gate. the issue with a galaxy gate is the price of admission. yes, they're extremely profitable to farm, yes the rewards are usually well worth the time to complete and build them (some by far more than others), BUT it takes a minimum of many hours and for some with less free time weeks or even months depending on the gate and luck of the players.

    what i think you should do for the PvE map is put a time limit on it, say a possible maximum of only 4 or 6 hours per 24 hour period to prevent constant hiding in said map.

    also considering it should still be accessible to other players, but still not involve PvP, im thinking have a permanent effect in there like the citadel ability so players just cant lock each other at all, pets also.

    all NPCs should have red names and players should have white names regardless of clan affiliations (so green or yellow and especially red tags wouldnt be visible)

    as for the NPCs themselves, i think you guys should have 3 seperate maps, 1 base map with lower level NPCs so the less FE can have less danger, but not so low as to be not worth the time. im thinking something the difficulty of a kristallin but worth more like 20 uridium instead of 16, have less hp but do more damage (to balance it) maybe a 30% hp decrease and a 50% damage increase?

    as for maps 2 and 3, they should go out like a Y as any other map does with the base centralized to give it an equal trip.

    i think you guys should make entirely new npcs for all these maps. not unlike that spectacular P.E.T. event a few months back, but of course all npcs should be of a higher difficulty to account for the lack of worry of a player attack (just like a galaxy gate there shouldnt be any suprises such as an enemy uncloaking in these maps) so really these aliens should be on par with uber NPCs

    map 2 NPCs: i was thinking all non agressive NPCs for this map not unlike kristallons (you shoot first kind of deal) and instead of them hitting around 4k and gaining 128u, it should hit 10k and have a reward of 300u with near equal hp/shields, for variety i think you guys could add in some equally scaled smaller and bigger equivalents in this map so id say a 100u and 500u equivalents.... any other NPCs in this map wouldnt hurt, but like i said, all should be entirely new

    map 3 NPCs: ok im sure this sounds insane but what i was thinking was an Emporer Cubikon. worth 10k uri total and literally impossible to solo. instead of having a swarm of protegits i think it should be the 1 npc only, it'll hit a total maximum of 100k but divided among the players attacking it (so 1 npc attacking multiple targets) adding an extra suprise effect to that would be really cool as long as you dont make it any more difficult than that lol. also for hp/shield figures im thinking 20mil hp and 30mil shields would make it a serious doozy even for a group.. and most importantly make it respawn instantly! also make it so if the player doesnt shoot it within 30 seconds of it dieing they get no rewards like the lock system on other npcs. that way people cant peck and run and get rewards for nothing. rewards should be distributed according to damage dealt to both shield and hp so the people using SAB arent less fortunate.

    hey i bet MAP 3 would be sweet, but there should be the same 4 of those as cubes so more players can do it without making it not worth it.

    100% chance of lf4s is a great thing but it probly wouldnt hurt to add more than one way. maybe make a more difficult LF4 mission and make it a repeatable mission? that could be a good way to do it

    all else is great! i hope they do any of these!
     
  3. wow, those of us that have worked our rear ends off to become UFE, at least this one, take offense to this whole line of logic. The quickest way to become UFE is to WORK at it! Really, it's not as if new players don't have major advantages that some of us that have worked YEARS to obtain what we've got. didn't have when we started. Really? UFE easier? what next, "darkorbit, when I sign up, give me a fully loaded ship that I have no idea how to fly?" Besides, if new players get those advantages, what about us, what do we get? We've spent countless hours and hard earned money to build our ships.
    This sense of entitlement is really unfortunate.
    Start one ship, work hard and you can become UFE.

    ive been working hard to 6 years and im barely half ufe, i just recently got 10th drone, and 10th havoc, dont have 10 hercs yet and wont for a long time and barely a dozen LF4s.

    i think thats a good idea because that would make it possible for people like me, people without 16 hours a day and cant put $ every week to this game, to be able to actually have a hope to keep up with the people who do have all that time or $.. and the Emporer cube does sound pretty cool lol
     
  5. Shoot everything 'RED'/NPCs...yes, it will take hours for free, but there is/are no shortcuts. Don't forget to box too - esp. during special bonus boxes.

    I work 60 hours a week and only have a couple of hours during the week to play this game. I have worked for almost 8 years to become ufe. I have put some money into the game, but not thousands or anywhere near that. I have worked my butt off. Why shouldn't everyone else have to do the same?

    youve probly put more money in this than you realize. i read a chart recently saying is costs over 100 million uri to get UFE, thats 1,000$! i think thats actually low considering how much it costs from the gates alone you have to build and still only have a chance to get an item..

    and theres no way in hell i'd spend over 1,000$ on a game
     
  8. Did you mean 10 million? that's $1000, yeah.

    And OP, your heart's in the right place, but think about the outrage from the players who got their lf4s from hours and hours of either tirelessly collecting pirate booty or paying far more than 30 or 50 thousand for an epsilon gate for a CHANCE at getting an LF4. Can't just throw a big middle finger to everyone who got UFE the previous way.

    whenever they add something new thats what theyre doing. thats the deal with a regularly updated game (this game isnt very regular, but you get the idea). they add something new, or change something to make it better or easier, you got it the hard way before they changed it, its on you. by doing it the hard less pleasant way you agree to do it that way. things change, like anything else, you take it how they give it or you dont take it.
