    I couldn't help but notice both bounty hunter and alien hunter offer almost the same benefit of damage to each.
    Considering the notion of having to buy unwanted abilities to gain what you want why not just merge the two simply called "Space hunter" in order to free up some of the player points to devote to other wanted abilities.
     
  2. Same benefit of damage...but to different categories of enemies. There are two types of players in this game when it comes to the end game: PvP'ers and PvE'ers. Giving both of these groups there own boost in their own playing styles. It also gives a feeling of specialization within the game through the skill tree. Giving an overall damage boost is very controversial due to raising the max damage possible.

    That is just plain foolish, both threats are present at all times.
    Playing twice for the same guns to cause additional damage to each group instead of just dealing the same damage to both is optimal in every way regardless of your playing style.
    Also in order to get alien hunter you must have rocket fusion, rocket fusion needs bounty hunter 1 as one of it's pre rec's. The change would cut some of this red tape and free up 5 points.

  4. Bounty Hunter is one of it's prerequisites. Nobody is forcing you to stick to a preset path along the skill tree. You could go through Luck I to get Alien Hunter. It might not be totally efficient in your mind, as a standard path has now been established due to people wanting to reap the best of the benefits, but if you would like both, get rid of your Bubble Shield or some Evasive Maneuvers, you have to give some to get some. Specialization doesn't mean obtaining the entire tree in the endgame. Some things and multiple paths will have to be forgone for other types of benefits.


    This is a contradictory statement, but I believe I know what you're talking about. The Pincer Drone Formation adds a mere 3% toward players, and only towards players. The Barrage Drone Formation adds 5% of extra damage toward only NPCs. The X Drone Formation adds only a 1% damage boost only toward PvE play! It is a strategy element, it isn't only present in the skill tree. Adding extra damage doesn't make the player think that maybe he should specialize in the other category and be proactive to change it, thus spending Uridium, when he/she needs/wants to. Not only does a raw damage boost make you stronger overall it throws the game out of balance even more. Aliens tend to have more Health/Shield than a player ship would have and they do not have learning curves or a sense to complain. PvE specific damage boosts as well as PvP specific damage boosts makes it so killing other players stays fair, and Alien killing becomes a better outlet for endgame UFE players.s

    All that you use as examples have failed in game so far and for the record everyone is being forced to follow this path in order to be effective with adequate offense and defense capabilities in this PvP game.

    This thread is focused on the Bio abilities not drones, It is ridiculous the notion of having to waste in game resources, time and in some cases real money for this current version of bio abilities that the players need just to progress.

    Stop accepting this crappy deal regarding the Bio ability set up or stop forcing everyone [removed] just because you are content with it.

    This mentality of having to take crap with your prize just plain sucks and I'm sure everyone knows it.

  6. Sigh.. here we go again. This mentality is a mechanic of the game. You can't just have whatever you want with no negatives. That's not how life works. BP has to make money somehow, but you don't seem to realize that. The point of a SKILL tree is to SPECIALIZE. To DIVIDE. You HAVE to make sacrifices. Offensive, or defensive. Run or fight. Box or shoot. Fight brainless blobs or players. That's the idea. If you wanna specialize in both it's gonna cost you. Don't expect it to change as that's the point of it.

    It sucks.
    If the case is being made to choose what game play style you want to follow, then the choice to only engage or be engaged in that type of game play should also be enforced.

    In other words PvP should be made a choice as well.
    The option to opt out of PvP based on the current crappy system is over due.
    That is the reason this change must be made to facilitate the PvP aspect being shoved down everyone's throats.
    Wake up.
     
  8. No it's not. By choosing a non-PvP option you're accepting you are at a disadvantage. After all literally only 3 are PvP biased. The two mine ones, and bounty hunter. Rest are pretty much for anything

    No if there is going to be a choice between alien hunter or bounty hunter then the choice made should be enforced in game with restrictions to keep these disadvantages that are emptying servers all the time at bay.

    If the merging of the two abilities is too much to ask then the PvP aspect of the game should be denied by the ones that have this ability from the ones that don't.
     
  10. No.... It shouldn't lol. 12% damage shouldn't divide a PVP game. If you can't deal with it find a clan and stick with them or don't play.

  11. You can do just fine without Bounty Hunter; already met UFEs who don't want those.

    Pass on both suggestions, I need no clan to be defiant and I'll leave the quitting to the weak.
    I want to do better than fine, you can keep it.

    You can change your bio as you change in the game. For me it's staying alive and building my ships up. For that I farm because after 45mins. of boxing I want to tear my eyes out, but i love to kill npcs at or just above my lv so the fun factor is there.

    So until I can compete against players who have been here for years i will go PVE and kill hunters that i can.

    your idea is not bad, but then it changes the game diametrics too much. So -1 from me.

    The primary focus of the game "time and again" has been PvP by the ones that have both dominated the game and forum. I see it all the time from comments in forum that this is a pvp game, why fly thru additional hoops regarding damage when "IT'S A PVP GAME!!!"

    I have seen too many instances where an idea like this appears in forum and the "IT'S A PVP GAME" crowd do just what is happening in this thread now.
    They hide behind moronic notions like "it is a choice of game play" or "the weak must suffer" or [removed] or "we will all be butt hurt if it changes" every time.

    If in fact despite the game play anyone chooses to follow in the skill tree I say make the things that matter IN A PVP GAME common or automatic in the choices since IT'S A PVP GAME and the ones that force others to face the fact that IT'S A PVP GAME an inescapable truth can be addressed in a way they can understand IN A PVP GAME!!!

    I find it foolish to continue acting like this game offers much more than the notion that IT'S A PVP GAME.
    This quantified version of alien and bounty hunter "merged into one" ability should have been made with the mechanics of the game to begin with.
