I think it is time to open fresh server!!
reason fresh start whit out cheaters because BP is finally make good step against cheaters.

Maybe if they decide to consolidate servers, they can program a fresh one and put the players on it.

 

I think player will come for sure in fresh start whit out cheaters.
when you play you know for what you play.
In old times it was impossible to play game because of cheaters,bots,bots for npc kills,auto lockers(ranking was insane),etc and etc.

 

Ok, so to review, what do you think the end game of starting a fresh server will be? Also are we talking in addition to all the servers that are here already? People talk about those same problems from all servers. What is to keep it from migrating to a new server?

 

Only reason for what is all server is dead is because of cheaters in old time.all players quit play game because it is impossible to play on fair play.i playing this game lot of years and i know what is happen in old times.
one day i was 23 in ranking second day i was 90+ and i lose my rank because of BOT for NPC.
I know lot of players how quit play game because BigPoint cant stop cheat in "old times".
Now BigPoint doing good job against cheat in game and i think it will be "FAIR PLAY"

 

Making NEW server when everyone is screaming for MERGES is not smart. Besides the cheaters will end up creating a new account on the NEW server and migrate there anyways. It is impossible, on a browser based system, to prevent third party software from being used. They need to create a SECURE downloaded portal for access to the servers, which would end the DDoS attacks and the entire cheating crud. Maybe this Chinese purchase will get the ball rolling for "DarkOrbit Rebooted" as a downloaded access game. Remove the browsers, and FlashPlayer crashes at the same time.

 

Me thinks it's gonna be in Asia...GL with your new server.

 

Keep servers the same..Just unlock every server so players can
move freely to anywhere in game...

 

Do you realize the turmoil you just created? First, the Botters can jump server to server and never be able to be caught. Second, as the game play is different on different servers you just opened every server to become empty servers by bullies chasing players away. Third it is a programmers nightmare to make each account an individual packet of files to move as wished (these accounts interact with so many other files on the server it is too hard to sever these that easily.

These reasons are also why they are not MERGING servers at this time along with a ton of others that I am not going to get into as they do not apply to this thread.
