[UI] Leo Design

As has been stated by others the Leonov is falling by the wayside with the Veterans of the game. With the imbalance of the game, and the NEW players needing further protection, I would agree a design would be nice for them.

The design should increase the HOME map advantages (apply it to the equipment on drones) apply the advantages to ALL Company maps (x-1 to x-8, and 4-x) along with 4-4 as it is required to be used to get to Uppers, if not using Advanced Jump Chip. The Upper advantages would be the same as CURRENT advantages. The designs have no effect in ENEMY maps. I would not go for EP or Honor Boost (they can buy the boosters in Shop if they want the extra boost) but would also accept Cosmetic Only designs for these ships (for those who just want to be different) maybe even give them a Company Colors Design (if you change companies it changes to the current company) that they can get for FREE (make a new mission where part of the reward is this design).

So YES give the Leonov a renewed reason to be used in maps other than Lowers Only.

 

The Leo is a lowers map weapon (period). dot, (comma) coma

 

Leo bonuses added to drones would make the ship the hardest hitting ship on the game, and the reason I suggested leos should be able to go to certain bmaps and get bonuses is so you would see leos doing what they are meant for.Being a nice beginner ship and a tool for company map defense used by veterans or newbies.So if we have the "Battle for influence" come around MMO would have leos trying to defend 4-1, eic would have leos trying to defend 4-2 and vru leos in 4-3.

The bonus should not apply to 4-4 or 4-5 tho.And There are atleast a thousand different player made leo designs on the internet ;D so lets gets some cosmetics for the leo rolling out.

 

Okay so you repeated my response for the 4-x (x being the company map like x-1).

I said nothing about the 4-5 map but because the 4-4 map is used to traverse from the lowers to the uppers should be included, the only reason anyone would be in here would be trying to get to or from the Uppers (without using a Jump Chip/Credit).

 

That's all good but I'd still like it effective in ALL non enemy company maps.
Heck I'd like to see a design that offers a jump feature to just home and battle maps.

Imo leo should have designs too, if not with stat bonuses, at least cosmetic.

 

apply the bonus to the drones is unrealistic!
we just want to expand its current capabilities to upper maps and and it will unavailable in b-maps or enemy maps.

i dont think making the leonov bonuses for battle or upper maps, would be a good idea; although sound interesting see leonov flying around in b-maps and defending cbs. could be too hard to invade (could be funny too xD) but it wont worth it with that honor per killing a leonov. i propose if you are going to make the bonuses of leonov for uppers then make it more worth-able.

I have an idea about the leonov bonuses for lower, uppers and battle maps.
for lower maps= laser x2, shields x2, rocket x2, special speed
for battle maps= shields x2, rocket x2, special speed
for uppers maps=rocket x2, special speed

also i think the leonov deserve a design even the bigboy has one , i propose one design for the leonov with 5% ep and honor

 

Rather than any of that why not keep the hp, speed and rocket dmg upgrade. Remove the x2 laser dmg and gen boost, offer 12 laser slots and 12 gen slots.

 

I like this idea, the beginners should be escorted by the high rocket damage while they haven't got enough lasers.

BTW D O should double the speed of the generators in the ship too....

Or you can get it by doing an "epic" Leo quest. Maybe you must kill tons of NPCs in the home maps and assist newbies for the quest. It will be a motivation for beginners keep playing the game.
"Oh a golden LEO, I must have it !!! Where is my purse? I need Premium!"

 

LOL no, if they do that, then noobs with goliath will have a bad time invading , even FE users, but maybe the speed should be increased a little more

 

These are good ideas too, let's see if DO can accept and implement any of 'em.

it's kinda hard to do, you don't want the leo to be broken but you want to make it balanced and cool to attract more new players!

 

I've got an idea for the name:
The new golden LEO design should be called "Oscar" and be implanted during the Academy awards. So D O remind everyone for LEOnardo DiCaprio's first "Oscar".

Useless, from my point of view. Why would you need a design for something that don't exist- newbs. And if they do exist.. they go for a goli at 50k credits anyways.

 

There are a lot of players that get tired of the grind and play around in the smaller ships, even though they have the big ones too. So why not be able to customize them. Try killing a UFE Leo with Home Map advantages, you might find you bit off more than your Goliath can chew.

 

If any UFE ship is not a problem, then why would a leonov be..? I, myself, am UFE and pretty experienced I can say... so still, useless. It's my opinion and I don't want it to matter to you.

 

I like the idea, the Leo if a fav ship of mine.
