[UI] LF3 + ? = Upgraded weapon

Ok pretty sure I'm not alone here; wondering what purpose my 286 LF3's could serve now I have a decent amount of LF4's.

Idea..
Spectral Lancer IV
200 damage to NPC's.
175 against humans.
*Additional 10% damage when a full set is used on ship and drones.

Assembly Cost;
1 X Spectral Lancer 3
1 X LF3
2 X H-NCA
2 X H-HFC
10 X Schism Crystal

Scatter Laser IV
150 damage + overdrive function of 150 damage every 5 seconds
Drawback, 25% reduced range.
*Drawback is removed when ship has a full set of Scatter Laser IV.
*Additional 20% damage to NPC's when a full set is used on ship and drones.

Assembly Cost;
1 X Scatter Laser 3
1 X LF3
2 X H-NCA
2 X H-HFC
2 X H-PS
20 X Schism Crystal

 

Thought is good but I do not see the benefit of a SL-O4 except the additional damage but then the cost is a little high for the assembly of them.

 

The additional "effective" range I see as a plus, 25% range is a lot if you happen to be chasing a target (pvp or npc)

Build cost, I looked at the most common drops from booty boxes.
In my inventory currently I have 42 H-NCA, 151 H-FC, 76 H-PS, none of which can be sold or are useful for anything once you've built the basics in "Assembly". So like LF3's, once you are a bit more established in the game, you're left with a bunch of stuff that just sits in your inventory with no practical use. Add to that, if you're still chasing LF4's with booty you're going to keep accumulating these items. The Schism Crystal's, yes they are harder to obtain and you need to put in a lot of effort to get them. I was thinking of I.Oil instead of the Schism as once you have built your Cyborg etc, it also has no use.

** this is just a spitball proposal, I'd be interested in input from others as to how or what they would like to see/do..
