[UI] Memorial For Fallen Pilots

I was thinking of how when players pass away we try to remember them with flybys and our videos, things like that. then I thought what if we had some sort of place in the game that honored our fallen friends?
maybe something like


It wont Be this big of course but basically something in the x-1 and x-8 base maps to click on, like the company hierarchy you can click on and pulls up the companies/clans cbs points , you could click on this it would show our fallen friends that have passed, and have a picture like the one above, with their company, clan, name,rank, and ship in the middle, and when they started playing until the date they passed.

And as for anyone that would fake a death or pretend to die just to get on this:

once it is determined that a player has passed and a memorial be put in place, their account will be locked immediately. to prevent ship trading, selling, and would also prevent people from faking it to have a memorial because once they did there account would be locked.

im sure there would be other things involved that support or developers would have to deal with, like how to ensure the memorial is not abused, but what do you guys think?

I love this idea and think the safeguards suggested would prevent abuse. I think DO should really consider this one.

I like it, but i don't agree with one thing, the locking of the ship, as far as support has said, if a player passes away, a family member is allowed to own the account. If my dad were to pass, i wouldn't say "yeah lock his ship" No i'd take it and do something with it, like build it up and save it in-case something happens to my account.

 

that would be account sharing though ;\ i think ships should just be locked tbh

 

No, it's not account sharing. If a family member passes, like for example a parent, their kid is allowed to take over the account.

 

Chixy - Maybe see if D.O. will run a competition for each of the three companies on the design of the memorial/cenotaph to be shown on each of the upper and lower bases.

 

I agree with Dream demon...As you put money in an account you gain virtual rites to that acc and it does have value, so it can be looked at as family based item they may be passed down.And of course DO wouldnt care if parent passes and child takes owner ship.And account sharing is to avoid problems between drama and virtual rites acts that may be in the terms of service and so on.

 

I like the idea very much and I agree with Dream Demon's suggestion.
