[UI] Merge Group Function

  1. It sucks when you and a buddy are in a group of two, and there's another guy on the map you wanna invite, but he's in a group of two or three also.
    "Player is Already in a Group". Ye gods, I'm so sick of that.
    So you gotta disband your group or something, do alotta typing and explaining and go thru alotta Mickey Mouse rigamarole to get a group together.
    How about a merge group option. If both groups put together dont exceed the max number of players for a group, the groups merge. If the max is exceeded, a message saying "Merge Failed, Max Number of players Exceeded" is generated. Or,"Merge Declined" if the group doesn't want you.
    Conversely, if I invite somebody that's already in a group, why not send a message to that group: "Lunatic Requests to Join Group" and they can let me in or not. Of course, all players need to be same company.

    Had the same idea in the past. Guess it never got through. So full support for this one.

  4. I agree this would be nice, however, why limit it to same company? If I am working in Pirate or Uber maps and there are others that are not attacking me and want to help kill NPC's why not join them in completing the missions you all are working on, besides in a group the members can not attack each other, also some quests require you to kill NPC's in enemy territory. The other issue is the MCC's would be fully against this idea since they are from all companies.

    Going one further have a message that states "request to join sent" or "this group is full" and then allow the group decide to accept the request or not (of course it would be a good idea to send a "whisper" to the person making sure they see the request before it expires), in case the group box has been closed have the icon flash after the request has been sent (or the group box if it is open).

  6. These issues are items I would like to have you properly rebut as they are reasons I support the cross company grouping;
    • If you are already in the same map then how is it spying on you?
    • If you are killing the same NPC's why limit it to same company?
    • As once they have joined your group they can not attack you it is less disruptive for them to help you get the kills needed for the quest you are doing.
    • How is sending invites disruptive (if you have full group it tells them) or if being pestered and don't want to add more can always block invites (would have to add to group window).
    • As far as spying on you they can do this just by clicking on you and reporting your location without being in the group.
    • Why when making an ADDITION to the game MUST it delete something that is already proven to help others (If I can join the enemy in killing UBK's because I can not get help from my own company why should I not be able to get that help?).
    I look forward to your COMPLETE answer instead of the one liner that goes against what is available in the game now. You requested to ADD a way to notify a group you are interested in joining when they are not reading CHAT and already grouped up.
