    Good day to all.

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that recently the pvp component of the game is gradually degenerating - the developers focus on pve events and only occasionally something is done for pvp. At the same time, I also want to note the UBA arena, which was abandoned at one time, the seasons were turned off, it has been almost idle for almost two years now.

Actually, what do I want to offer? Create a new platform for pvp battles between players in various modes. All this can be done on the basis of the existing UBA arena, as well as the jackpot arena that existed once.

    ==========================================================

    The essence of the idea:

Taking the format of "random" 1x1 fights from UBA, add more variety. All further ideas are described in one server.

First, add the ability to fight 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5. The second is to create a lobby for the players. Thus, it will be possible to stand in the standard queue of random 1x1 battles or to find an opponent in the lobby. In it, by analogy with contacts, you can display only a nickname and level.

To carry out team battles, you can make a separate tab, and navigate between groups by the nickname of the head of the group. You can also leave only some command modes, so as not to litter the lobby. Yes, I know, there is such an event as TDM, but it does not allow players of different corporations to be in the same team, as far as I know.

I also think that the “tuning" of battles is a good idea, in addition to the standard battle. So, for example, in the arena, the consumption of resources, updating the nano-casing, PIB-ammunition, etc. are basically disabled. You can add a separate battle customization (respectively, in the command part of the lobby you can arrange everything in the form of "rooms"), which will allow you to disable something or vice versa to add. Actually, I think, it will be possible to disable the double volley of prometheus, any specific hi-tech or enable resources to increase the speed of the battle.

If the idea is implemented on the basis of a single server, then the next step is to make the platform interserver, by analogy with refraction. Accordingly, the teams will be able to be from different servers, as well as, for example, friends who play on different servers, it will be easier to find each other and have a friendly match, rather than wait until the random brings them together in the arena.

    Advantages:

    • The idea itself as a whole contributes to the popularization of pvp, and on the basis of it you can organize any new events, if this is in the interests of developers.
    • The exception to the possibility of incidents with unfair bans for pushing: several times I met with the fact that after a long duel (10-15 rounds) on the map, an observer writes to the forum and both accounts leave the ban for pushing completely unreasonably. To avoid this, a new platform will help, in which, for example, logs can be marked in the logbook.

    Disadvantages:

    • I think that not everyone will be interested in such a regime, since in recent years the game has moved significantly towards pve.
I would also like to ask the audience about the minuses of my idea, constructive criticism is welcome. I hope for support. Later I will add a couple of visual ideas for the interface to the post.

Design example for the lobby. The filter contains the number of players. Blue pilots from the player’s server, green from other servers, for example. Group - available if the player is in a group and the head of the group has entered the team battle mode in the lobby. Accordingly, the lobby main screen with the "Enter UBA" button is also needed. Also, groups with different number of players are highlighted with corresponding icons.

    Well thought out

  3. This does seem to be an idea of considerable merit.
The only thing I disagree with is the comment about the game moving significantly towards pve.
The game has increasingly been to shift into a type of format that those really interested in pvp can 'mop the floor' of those who are not so pvp inclined.

I would suggest a sign-up selection box that has pvp and pve separate, to a degree.
Those opting for pvp can do so with other pvp players as well as do the pve actions, if so desired.
Players selecting to be pve only would not be permitted to partake in any event action that is for pvp. They would have access only to non-pvp quests and be immune to any pvp attacks.
Possibly allow for an annual pop-up question that a player may choose to move to pvp (on an anniversary date of their sign-up).
Players would not be allowed to move from pvp to pve.
