[UI] Pirates change

    Today I collected over 10000 palladium trying to get closer to UFE and believe me, it's not a very pleasant experience regardless of where you're looking at, you get clan raids every 30 or so minutes, you get a battleray every now and then, pirates constantly keeping you low and slowed basically wasting your time and so on, and the whole thing really wears you down. So I let my imagination work and I realized some aspects that I think are not wanted from neither the players nor the developers.

    1. There is no reason for you to be on 5-1.
    2. The only good aspect of the 5-2 map is the non-attack zone in the middle that can be used for farming or as a shelter when you're passing by and you want to drop agro from pirates.
    3. Trying to collect palladium on 5-3 is both stressful and boring at the same time.(see the first paragraph)
    I believe one solution to this issue would be changing the pirate cargo drop(partially or fully) with Palladium. You don't need big numbers(Battleray<30 Palladium, Annihilator<7 Palladium, Barracuda&Saboteur<5 Palladium, Interceptor<3 Palladium). This way, the other pirate maps will be useful if you don't want to sit and click on rotating pixels for hours on end, there won't have to be 3 companies pushing eachother on 10% of the map trying to collect, and farming pirates will be less of a waste of time.
    All numbers are just suggestions.

    Advantages for the player: 1. It gives an alternative mean of obtaining Palladium and encourages dynamic gameplay.
    Advantages for the developer:
    1. If the servers will fusion, this is a solution to the overpopulation of 5-3.
    2. The popularity and utility of 5-1 and 5-2 will increase.
    3. Dynamic gameplay will be encouraged.
    Disadvantages for the player:
    1. The exchange rate of Palladium for extra energy will lower the efficiency of collecting exclusively with your PET.
    2. Pirate maps will be more popular.

    Disadvantages for the developer:
    1. It will create a destabilization which can can be controlled by increasing the amount of Palladium necessary for one extra energy and/or lowering the amount of Palladium you get from pirate cargo boxes.
    2. Players will have yet another way of getting to UFE without investing money into the game.
    Edit: #1. The change actually got somewhat implemented in the game, although giving the relatively short amount of time(around 4 weeks) it is very possible that the DO team got the change prepared before I made my post. Thank you anyway for all the feedback.

  2. I like it IF it is an additional ORE collected with the cargo drop we usually get. The addition of the Assembly Ores and removal of the normal Cargo Drops have caused issues with FREE players counting on receiving the Regular Cargo (for Xenomite) to get the A S Ore instead. It has been brought up several times that we should receive BOTH regular cargo and Special items (if so assigned) for every kill made not replace the regular cargo with Booty Chests, A S Ore/Components. Some players require the credits from the cargo drops and in the case of Boss and higher kills they often require the Xenomite for Insta-Shield or Smart Bombs. Most players are not killing NPC's because they are looking for Booty Chests.

    Since the Palladium is a Pirate Ore I do believe that the Pirates should drop some with the normal Cargo drops. As far as the other crud being dropped instead these should be AWARDED for the kill, NOT A COLLECTION THING, we see boosters and other items like this awarded just before the NPC dies so why not the A S Ores/Components or contents of the Booty Chest we had drop (whether we have keys or not).

    The counts should be;

    Interceptor = 1
    Sabateur = 3
    Baracuda = 5
    Annihalator = 10
    Battleray = 15

  3. (Polls are not permitted, I'm still not understanding the reason for this prohibition )

    Nice ideas, the basic concepts for the pirates were great, they have interesting abilities and differences. The only thing, that is missing, is a good reward. But I would change some numbers:
    Interceptor = 2
    Sabateur = 5
    Baracuda = 7
    Annihalator = 13
    Battleray = 30

    Besides I'm afraid of a full cargo, which forces me either to sell some ores or to be not able to collect the palla from the following cargo. This could be annoying, a "deleting-ores-from-your-ship" function would be nice.
     


  4. I did not go so high on the Battleray as you have all of the Interceptors to kill also.

    That is what the REFINE and PET Trader or Trade Drone are good for. Premium makes it easy to Refine quickly but it does not take that long to Refine on the fly, at least the 2 primary Refined ores, this also allows you to keep the Xenomite if you choose to. Of course they could make the Palladium like the A S Ores and not count towards the cargo space used.

    The last thing anyone wants is to make it so efficient that everyone wants it because this will just destabilize the game and overpopulate the pirate maps. I think, if the idea is to be implemented, it should be nothing more than an alternative to collecting.

  7. The Battleray is in 5-3 whereas the Deadly Battleray is in the Battle maps (4-x) they are 2 completely different things and nothing has been mentioned about including the Deadly to the mix.

    ok,In my opinion it's harder to kill annihilator(37.000 hit) what batlerray(10.000 hit)=ubers=kubicon,all can hit it some not group.
