[UI] Please fix hanger mechanics!!

So I bought extra hangers for a few different ships. Pretty cool.

It's not cool transferring all your equipment. The browser interface is so slow, it takes over 10 minutes. Switch to a different ship? I'd rather not. Sure you can duplicate extras easy enough in auction, and the main stuff can be moved in clusters with shift. But not on drones.

If drones stayed equipped no matter what ship (like they technically should), that'd probably fix it enough. The pet too for that matter. Drones and pets should be separate from the ship anyway. I suppose it'd take some unnecessary overhaul on the site, but it'd be so nice.

 

a little quicker way is use (shift) click to select all of that type and (CTRL) click to move whats selected to ship

 

Aye, discovered you can drag a box to select multiple items as well, which helps a ton for moving extras. Drones are still a major pain though, since this doesn't work for them.

Another fix would be letting you keep each ship equipped with your gear, but i guess they're going for realism. But in that case having to unequip your drones or pet just to immediately reequip them again is not very realistic.

I wonder if it's worth mucking in that code for them, just to relieve my pain ;p;p

 

That does work for drones.
Select the number of lasers alone, OR generators that you want on (ALONE, NOTHING ELSE)(extras ALONE too if you're that type) and CTRL + Click it (not drag & drop, as that only affects the drone that you moused over).

 

what is up with the equipment icon ? its not working it says unknown error occurd! does that mean you guys don't have a clue how to fix it? or what?

 

Probably on your end. Last time I had, it lasted for five or six months, and that was before LF4s, PETs, Bio, Zeus & Apis and all that good stuff.

ctrl clicking does work good, somehow i forgot to try that when Venom~kilzs suggested it. also, my bad for not looking up short cuts and trying them. doh.

for the record though, it'd still be nice if the hanger system was a little more understanding, and forgiving...
but i'm straightened out if a mod wants to close.
