[UI] Possible Design Additions

    It was brought to my attention that the Aegis/Citadel/Spear trio could use another boost due to the addition of the tartaraus. As we all know, this ship is extremely op. For the Spear and Aegis, we could have a shield design for them which gives 5-10% shield and 3% damage maybe.
    For the spear, it would also be good to add an hp design. This ship is extremely fragile and would be put to better use in the maps if it had more hp, making it better in palla and spaceball.

    Another addition could be a shield repair version of the solace. Repairing 15% shield (or more) and maintaining the 50% hp. The solace, as I see, is mainly used by suicide configurations. This allows the ship to keep its regular hp rep and use a shield rep on the other side when needed.

    The final thought I had was a styled ship. The tartaraus is an ugly ship and I thought we could use something nice to look at. Something designed like the Piranha back when things were 2D. Simply enlarge the ship a bit and give it Pusat or Goliath configurations and stats and have an option menu (if goliath configurations) allowing one to choose which special abilities it could use (obviously only choosing 1 of the 5 possibilities). I would also tweak it a bit so it is not an exact copy of the piranha. This could become confusing to new players.
    Again, I ask that DO only place these ideas in space once any glitches have been fixed.

    The only solutions I see for the spear would be for the UC to be available while the ship is under fire and for the Traget Marker to either remain active till the target or the spearhead ship employing it is destroyed or boost the dmg to x3 if the active time remains the same since the ship only holds 5 guns.

    I think, for DO, that would bring it too close to the Vengeance. HP and Shield designs for it would allow it to continue in its original purpose (recon/staying under the radar).

    Hmmm. A design that remains cloaked even when firing, interesting.

    A ghostifier doesn't cloak you. It just makes your ship look more ghostly.

    Yes but the design I'm pondering would make the Spearhead ship constantly cloaked, even while it fires it's weapons.
    That would certainly keep that ship in the recon role and way under the radar while it is farming.

    It could be called Shinobi design.

    It would make it way too hard for people to PvP against it. The spear is already one of the fastest ships in the game, with it moving that fast and being cloaked makes it extremely hard to get lock. Recon is remaining under the radar while getting intelligence, not fighting unless engaged.

    I was one of the first to have a Spearhead on my server and fighting is generally all I do in it since it is such an easy kill while farming, that ships speed is not a defense and hasn't been in years.

    PvPing a spearhead in any ship larger than a star fighter class isn't pvp, it's kill ratio padding and you know it.
    No better than attacking pilots in the enemy lower maps.
    No better than using cloaks to look for a fight from a weaker target.
    No better than running away from a fight that they start to avoid popping.

    I say make it hard on them chump change excuses of pilots.

    I don't know if they will make any changes,but they have to fix the citadel speed while in speciall skill.

    I'm not quite sure what you mean @Heinekenn
    The Spear is used in both PvP and Recon... specifically Spaceball, palla and boxing. The HP and Shield boost designs would mainly be to improve conditions in those 2 due to pirates being tougher than normal NPCs and Spaceball being spaceball. In my server, and yours, VRU dominates spaceball and fighting against them is already hard enough.

    OK off topic, I suggest making the lower maps enemy free zones.
    On topic, There are many ways to improve these ships but Hp and Shield boosts seems too unimaginative.
     
  13. It needs "hours" for reaching your farm map after being destroyed.

    The trio are relatively cheap in the auction... neither of these will really ever be bought for uri.
    Improving the abilities of each ship will just make them too strong. What I have suggested is just a simple addition to the game that will make people's gaming experience easier.

    Better firepower and or upgrades to their current abilities would make for an easier game experience.
    The aegis is just fine as is but the spear and cit both need reboots to their abilities.

    Making transport for the Cit active for the entire time the ship remains in the map it was activated in is a good start.

    Making the Target Marker active till the target is destroyed is another good move and making the UC available while the ship is under fire could really help the Spearhead too.

    Spearhead can't cloak when it is locked because when you have lock on someone, they show on the minimap.
    Citadel, assuming you are talking about the speed boost, is in case it needs to keep up with the group (because the Citadel and Aegis are group-ships) to maintain its bubble and draw fire ability.
    Spearhead, using its ability in a group, would be OP... especially for ENVY. Imagine 5 ENVY with a spear in there... instead of 180k combos per ship, it would be more around 190k-200k. 4 ships hitting that hard is enough to insta-pop just about any ship. However, increasing the time for just a little longer would be alright. Making it last until one of the ships is dead takes the fun out of the 5v1s people encounter.

    HP and shield designs for ships is probably the best answer to the problem. Having a 3%-5% damage boost with that would make them even better. They already have damage and exp designs. HP and shield are the only 2 that are missing (unless Honor is not included on the EXP design).

    Ok, so make the changes apply for pilots while not in an outfit in order to make them independent instead of just a group or outfit ship.
    I'm no fan of envy but even MY hatred of them can't change the need of the upgrades to these ships abilities.

    I would also like to see the spearhead ship get 100% accuracy if and only if only the 5 gun slots on the ship are used.
