[UI] ranking

I think at the current state of this game even the biggest spenders are having a hard time with ranking up due to the lack of honour that is received from this game.
I suggest a change of ranking style and possible percentages change to many thing as well.
the rank would be much more realistic if rank was given on players level of a player has achieved but not honour. that way people wouldn't be breaking there backs especially noobs, with the current ranking system. theres no way to achieve a major rank if you a free player,
is this fair gaming?
I don't think so I think the current honour system supports the paying players, and I mean the real big spenders. when this game is free, it defenitly isn't the case when you start getting into it,.
maybe the honour could be design for another purpose ?, which yet I do not know.

 

Who cares? It's rank. It does nothing in the game so why change anything? To change how it works now would be a huge slap in the face for those who worked hard and spent tons of cash to get that rank. You want to be free to play, cool. Like all choices in life there are pros and cons. Deal with the actions your choices have wrought.

 

I haven't spent in this game, yet I'm getting close to major.
Ranks are dependent on the server population, and your skill.

Yes, it is definitely a sign of how "busy" you have been in the game. Skill is a major factor as well. It all coincides with how much you have leveled your ship, how much of missions and gates you have done, how how many other players you have to contend with on your server and in your company. What it does not equate to is a level of respect in the game, self or from others. If anything for a lot of players, it increases the amount of disrespect displayed and given. I can respect the work high level and ranking players have achieved. But if what is displayed is lacking, I would not care what system is in place, they are still lower ranking than my noob/credit account to me. I may not tell them that they are in the chat though. I am a noob, but I am not a stupid noob.

 

Ranking seems alright as it is.

I personally don't really care much about ranks. Yes some players want a high rank but I prefer to build my ship.

Anyway its kinda funny when you see a general running from a basic space pilot.

Only a certain number of players allowed per rank.So its hard now due to low number of active players where as more players means more slot to fill per rank.
