[UI] RE-DESIGN LOWERS MAPS

  1. As there is a huge shortage in new players in the lower maps is it really needed to still have 9 empty maps on some of the servers?

    Why not instead of server merging just get rid of maps 1-2,1-3,1-4,2-2,2-3,2-4,3-2,3-3 and 3-4

    Replace them with 3 multi company maps for all new players to share, so vru eic and mmo new players will all help each other in these maps

    Why delete it? It is a thought and why should it not bear consideration and comment, be it positive or negative... The fact that you care enough to have written it down shows commitment..

    I have to say that I believe, if I hear right, that DO are working on ways that they think will 'keep the new players coming back for more' as I dont believe there is a problem with recruitment but more with maintaining their interest after the first 3-4 days...

    My thoughts/feelings on MCClans are well known I think, but if there were nothing else upcoming in the near future to increase headcount some version of your idea might not be so bad...
    Protection or maybe even no ship kills (except pops by NPCs) would be a must or it would just mean a greater concentration of easy kills for the bigger ships and when lvl~12 reached then on to greater things :) on the re-opened Company x-2,3 and 4 maps maybe with some form of continued protection as lvl 12 is quite possible withing 3 day even without trying these days... The constant travel back and fore from x-1 map after being popped, and the realisation that it may take a good long while to get powerful enough to defend themselves, at such an early stage that demoralises the new blood and then lack of motivation sets in with the inevitable loss of another potential...

    I wonder...

  3. Yh sorry i had not finished my post there was meant to be more but i clicked post by accident,

    That long journey that new players have to do to and from their x1 base is demoralising so why not swap x1 and x2 maps around? put x1 where x2 is and then put the base in the middle of the map and have x2 where x1 currently is, this will save a lot of time for new players as x2 x3 and x4 are all now directly reachable from base map.

    You mean have 1x buffer 2x now that is not a bad idea. I've seen many UFEs hanging in 1x and if that lit up that there was a enemy in the map they may go hunt them as to what they do now jump to where the huntings good.
     
  5. I agree with your idea something has to be done about the new players quitting.. I returned to this game after 6 years of a break and I have to tell you being killed 50+times in 45 min by ufe players really got to me ... New bies need some kind of protection until they are equipped enough to even try to run away.. It seems like noob camping is the new kind of pvp or shpuld i say PvE when I was fe before I use to help new players even the enemy ones me and other players..
