[UI] Rebalance the old Goliath Designs

Hi Darkorbit Players,

first of all: I'm from Germany so my English is probably not perfect at all.

As many of you know the Goliath has alot Designs. Bastion, Enforcer, Spectrum etc.

But at the Moment there is only one Design which can be used for Hunting - Surgeon. Why? The Speed Boost caused by the Generator Slot you have more is very important. As most Guys are flying around with this Design also you are unable to reach them when they're out of Range once. In combination with the higher Damage Output and the Advantage of 40.000 Shield more in the Second Configuration it doesn't make any Sense to use the good old Enforcer, Bastion and Special Designs. The new Frost Design is useless aswell.

My Intention behind this here is an Rebalance of all Goliath Designs. Please get all Designs on the same Speed again that Running is not an Option for the Surgeons and you can use the Advantage of each Design normally again.

I always loved the Enforcer, it's so Oldschool and looks still very nice. For now, it's not an Option for Cubicons, Hunting or any other Playing in DO. It's, as i said already - useless.

Please think about that Shawn or any other Producers. The new Frost Design looks so nice and the only Way to use it is for an Screenshot on Facebook... Because it just has nothing you can work with on the Map.

I can't really tell why.. but I have to agree with this. I also love the olschool designs.. it's also fun and fancy to hunt using the good old enforcer or to fight in big clan war using the bastion.. good old memories. Now the surgeon gives you everything and the orbit has became green.

 

Keeqo says the truth.With the Surgeon came out,everyone who have it use only it,and who dont have it saving uri to buy it next time when it cames to the shop,like me.I like enforcer,vanquisher and other nice desings,but they dont have +1 gen slot,and sometimes 1 genslot can save you.(Sorry for bad english)

 

I totally agree with you. The only players who fly with old designs, are players who couldn't buy the surgeon yet. The speed advantage is just too good.

I liked to take a hunt with the Bastion design or Amber etc ( Designs without a Bonus ) but now with the Surgeon this is not longer an option.

And from all those Designs... will the Surgeon beat all the other designs.
Even if you use the Spectrum the enemy gonna use the Wheel-Formation and will just run.

And I really want to say: if you bring out new designs like the Absoulute Zero or Bronze, Silver and Gold... give them a BONUS...

I agree, it's totally annoying
I like 6% more dmg, xp and honor but u can't use other designs anymore -_-

 

I completely support your idea, I have always loved the way the enforcer/bastion designs look put have to stick to other superior designs(in terms of firepower/speed etc) so +1 from me. Btw I'm a big fan of yours so keep up with the good work mate!!

 

Not only Bronze, Absolute Zero, Gold, or Zero, but Iron too, because we still paid for it! we did not sepnt 1 euro just for some screenshots....

Yeah, totally agree with that, dude, Bastion is a very cool-looking design but surgeons are everywhere and you cannot escape anymore.... Hope the Mods will see your post, man

It is just all a matter of money. Don't you see that you can take Surgeon ONLY in special uri offers? u buy 330k uri n u get a Surgeon... It is all about the $$$...

 

from my point of view it goes like this 2 reason people win fights
1. having something other players don't have
2. skill

its only 300k uri and u get mhh, discounts, rebate, prem all the event you can make uri on


all people do on this game is moan 1 player gets something you all want it and if u cant get it you want something change to make that item useless just play the game and enjoy it ... its not about power.. what you have , its all about how much fun you can have

 

Just to make sure Mate, i have everything you can have in this Game and i just want to make the PvP more interesting again.

if they added a uri cost to unlock the extra gen slot to the goli ship itself if you don't own the Surgeon design that would fix the imbalance right there. It is OP

 

It was on uri Only when the UBA Event was on, since then, you could achieve the Design only if you were buying 330k Uri... No more Surgeons along the Shop :'(

 

Surgeon, Pusat and wheel formation completely imbalanced the game. On GE2, all I see is pusats or Surgeons and why would you fly anything else, since your can basically outrun everyone else? It is no longer fun to hunt in Citadel, or even the Aegis. Spearhead got lost along the way as well. The only thing people do now is just sniper people by jumping out of cloak with drill, and if they can't win EMP + Cloak and there gone. They should never have touched speed limits. Unfortunatley, just like with the ICE rockets, once bought they will most likely never be removed. Moreover: the surgeon design exist for over 6 months and the pusat for 3 months. I doubt darkorbit will suddenly change them now. Drill and Ring are also unbalanced if you ask me. There is almost no fun anymore. All they do is give insane boosts to new designs and formations, just because they don't have anything else. Soon there will be coming an Aegis design with more speed, or even a Goliath design with 2 extra generators...

 

The rules are a little different (compared to the German forum in the update and idea section):
"6. Polls are NOT PERMITTED in this section."

All Goliath designs with no effect need a little buff as 5% more damage or 10% more shield...Bastion is ok, it has its 5% more damage, on my server all "weak" Goliaths have Bastion or Enforcer, they are cheap in the auction. Surgeon, the best Goliath design, is only for the persons, who earn much Uri/ has much money. That's sad.
Perhaps adding other little buffs as e.g. 5% more rocket launcher damage, 5% more Credits from aliens etc. helps to bring the other designs back.

 

Sorry about the Poll anyways, but it still shows the Opinion.

About the Pusat: It's so fast that even i (and i can click pretty good) have Problems to get it back in the Lock nowadays. I just disabled effects in 3D, not it will probably be better. I mentioned also that there are too much Effects in 3D for Fighting - but that's another Topic.

I just want to make it more equal again. The Idea of getting an Slot via Uri on all other Designs seems to be quite good. 10 K Uri would be enough - you can buy it on every Design then.
