[UI] Removing gygerthralls from Lower maps(?)

    It seems like gygerthralls are too fast and too many for the lower maps.For the sake of our beloved newbies who bring life to the game,it would be wise to remove them from lowers as they deal too much damage(about 1,1k each) and they are too fast[interceptor's speed(your ship's speed+20)] for the new players.I see many new players sitting at port because it is so hard to deal with those aliens with their equipment(not even FE).
     
  2. There is a mission for them, several actually and a technique you can use is to drag one to port and deal with it by itself and then when it takes off on you go after it. Keep moving the entire time and after you finish it off, go rep at port. It takes time but its doable. Event will be over at the end of the month and then maps will seem dead, more dead, again.

    1)The problem is that i will have to do that 10 times,and it's even more annoying when they run away to the corners and come back.
    2)The Event may be over at the end of the month but that doesn't mean that aliens will also be removed from the maps.For example the blighted bks will remain at x-7 maps.
     
  4. To put thing further into prospective, I should have used my NOOB account to answer this but I have been doing those missions with it since it gives the credits I crave. I think I will have to look at the FAQ but I was not aware the npc from this event was sticking around after the event.

    The only thing we know for sure is that the blighted bks and gygerthralls will remain at x-7 maps.

    I agree they need to go, its like you are forced to totally concentrate on them. I guess they are fine if your doing that particular mission but try to do any thing else a they are a nusence that you can't get away from. it seems like all you can do on a map with them is deal only with them.
     
  7. I found BARACAS statement somebody posted. That will be good for players trying for the gate.

    There is a week left to go and then we will all be back to the sibs that are no challenge after a players first 3 days of play.
     
  8. Unless they actually re-run the Pirate Hunt like they did originally then we have 2 months of them infiltrating the regular maps making it impossible to do anything other than kill Pirates. The interceptors were easy to deal with get them close to death and they stuck there (if not killed) and never spawned again.
     
  9. Most players, including me at both levels have done most of the normal missions in those maps, so the pirate event will be a nice change. I think they are trying to find more event stuff for us anyways, adding a nice element to the norm. Those who don't wish to participate in events as I don't on my other account for half of them, will find a way to play. I still for you roaming maps. :p
